What does it mean if a drug is "scheduled" in a state. I was reading about hgh, and it says it is scheduled in Oregon, and Idaho. What does that mean?

there are different schedules of drugs, means classes. AAS are a schedule 3 drug, meaning they are in the 3rd class. each schedule has varying degrees of punishment if caught with them. ideally they would have the most dangerous drugs as schedule 1 and the least dangerous as schedule 5 (i think thts the "lowest"). basically its just a way of dividing up punishments for various drugs so someone caught with meth will get a harsher sentence than someone caught with weed.

Actually, I think the scheduleing is related to their medicinal use and propensity for abuse.

Schecduel 1 would have no know medical use and high propensity for abuse. I don't think Sceducle 1 drugs are even allowed to be studied in controlled enrivonments. Thats why some psychologist complain about MDMA being schedule 1. There can be no clinical studies. That is also why you will find NO pharmaceuticals as schedule 1 as they all meet the criteria of a known medical use.

I believe schedule II to be drugs with a medical use, butt an extremely high propensity for abuse and or addiction.

Schedule III.... lower propensity for addiciton.
