I don't know... I have a pretty good intuition when a guy is trying to talk to me "like that", but I didn't get that vibe from this dude at all. I think he was genuinely serious. He didn't smile and he wasn't trying to be clever or smartass. He was very matter-of-fact and straight to the point, so I really think he was 100% serious about thinking he was doing me a favor.
Oh well, I'm over the initial fury... being that it was a cookie-cutter trainer and I know how much you boys loveee those kinds around here, I had to share my little Sunday bitchfest!
