the low carb diet thing is shit. it's a fucking fad that only works because plain and simple, you are reducing calories. if you remember back in the 90's there was another fad diet that did the opposite, low protein , did the same thing. but both cause problems. with the atkins diet something happens to your body called ketosis: your intestines plug up, you get gassy , your breath starts to stink and your performance is adversely affected too because of lack of glycogen in your system.
if you want results, just use clean living, watch what you eat, and be active (and by that i don't just mean go to the gym for an hour 5 days a week, live an active life by walking your dog, go to the beach, go rollerblading, etc.) it's not as hard as everybody thinks.
