And McGaret, lighten up on the kid, he's a few fries short of a happy meal : Quote from Mikeswift

I know, I know, I should know better - Good idea on cleaning the gym - When
I started at a real gym (at 16) the owner always let a kid clean the place for
his membership. I always had a part time job so I could swing the $30 bucks
(or whatever it was) a month. I used to bus it to and from before I had a car
and the gym I went to was in a rough neighborhood - that was part of why it
was so cool. If you want it bad enough ect.. When you been around as long
as I have you see a lot of doers and a lot of talkers.
And finally - Malic, if there is no possible way to get to any Gym or weights
then do what ever you have to. For example: Chest: do 10 sets to failure
of push-ups with your feet elevated (on the bed or something) Do shoulder
raises with two heavy books - sets of 50 if you have to. Legs: hold something
heavy and do squats - sets of 100 if you have to - do everything to failure.
This will get you in shape - I have done this myself when, shall we say, I didn't
have the freedom to get to a gym. When you can get to a gym do the opposite,
HEAVY with low reps for a while to break it up. Hey, just my opinion but it does
help. Mcgaret

Well I need a ride to get to the gym in order to get a job there , I have no ride back and forth to the gym. And the closest gym to me is 20 minutes at LEAST.

Arnold used to ride his bike 10 miles to the gym when he was a kid. Is there a bus you can take? Bump on IP's response your high school probably has a gym you should be able to use all year long, colleges have gym's in them as well and are usually free or cheap. Isn't there a boxing gym near you that you went to?

that's exactly what I've been trying to explain to him through my posts.

You have plenty of time to post and read online try spending some of that time writing a letter to the Phys. Ed department or Strength Training Coaches or Dean or whoever and plead your current situation to them and that you want to be able to work out. I'm sure they'd help you find a way to do it if you really have the heart, wether it's getting there early in the morning or staying late or going in on Saturday. Hell maybe someone would even give you a ride...

One hour bike ride each way sounds like awsome cardio. Irishpride - that is what I
was trying to say - work out jailhouse style - whatever you got. Cinderblocks,
rocks, heavy pots filled with water, large books - anything. That would not only
work the muscle but would be a more functional training then just with weights.

Hey, dosent this go back to my original post that started all this when I
was trying to say "JUST DO IT" and dont overthink everything??
