Anne Hathaway has been confirmed to play Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman, in Christopher Nolan's Batman finale The Dark Knight Rises. Tom Hardy has been confirmed to play villain Bane, a genius military strategist and soldier driven insane by the super soldier serum 'venom', reports Slashfilm.com.
Nolan said: "I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Anne Hathaway, who will be a fantastic addition to our ensemble as we complete our story."
On working again with Hardy, who Nolan cast in Inception last year, the director said: "I am delighted to be working with Tom again and excited to watch him bring to life our new interpretation of one of Batman’s most formidable enemies."
The Dark Knight Rises is due to be released July 20, 2012.
