I've just completed development of my web based fitness tracking program, The Muscle Lab, and I would like to extend an open invitation to members here who would like to help beta test. Specifically I am looking for men and women who are currently on some sort of fitness routine and who are serious about tracking their efforts to help me try to break this thing over a period of 60 to 90 days. This would involve regular data input in a number of different areas - nutritional intake, cardio activity, weight training activity (including detailed workout information - reps, sets, rest-pause, RPE, etc), physical stats (weight, caliper and tape measurements), well being stats, and more. Understandably, all areas of the program are not going to appeal to everyone, so it would be great for each beta tester to find one area of interest and test that part of the program exclusively. For example, if you are only interested in tracking your weight and body fat, stick to that and don't worry about the features that do not interest you. Regular use will help raise all of the bugs and issues to the surface. So... please use the included feedback form to report these problems back to me.

Come take a look and sign up, or send me a PM if you have any questions!

im gonna sign up in the morning and check it out. sounds pretty cool.

Well im all signed up and browsed your site end to end and think its a great site with great tools! I started my journal in there and im going to try to keep my gains log as well as my diet log there.

I encourage everyone to try this site out and as Pipe Girl said if u come across any problems simply contact her, but i have been moving around in there flawlessly thus far.

haha, that's exactly what I was thinking. If I'm going to spend all the time uploading my meals into this thing for a month or two I'll be damned if I loose it all if I don't want to pay the 10 bucks a month or what ever it will turn out to be.

My beta testers will have a lifetime pass, so definitely sign up now. Your information is not going to vanish. The idea with memorized meals and workouts is that once you have input a baseline it can all be added at the click of a button on a daily basis. Modifications can be made to the baseline with ease.

Keep in mind that when you put in your activity level this helps to calculate "lifestyle calories", which would be calories that you burn on a consistent daily basis above your BMR. For example, if you are very fit and have a job that requires a lot of physical activity then this increases your lifestyle calories. However, inputting individual cardio or weight training activities will show additional calories burned above both your BMR and lifestyle calories. You can change your activity level under "My Account" if your lifestyle ever changes.

Just a quick note, the "About" and "Tour" links up front are currently place holders, but go ahead and sign up and look around. I am creating the ability to shred your entire account if what you see is not to your liking and you just want to scrap the whole thing. So there is no risk whatsoever.

Keep the feedback coming, I love it!

I just signed up and I'm going to start populating this weeks workouts into the calendar... so far so good!

I'm really digging it and it's giving me the motivation to get my workouts in so I can see my log fill up. Definitely check it out guys and sign up.

Like my Gramps used to say if it's free take two.

Lots of good feedback so far, more than expected. Keep it up! I will make efforts to respond to everything that comes in as I get the time.

I was just adding in my workout for today and noticed the highest number of sets you can record are 6 per body part. I was also wondering how you would enter a DC style rest-pause set of something like bench press - 6, 3, 1, (15 seconds rest in between, totaling 10 reps). Also, what does RPE stand for? Thanks.

Thanks for the input! I can adjust the ability to add more than 6 sets. Actually this whole area has potential for improvement that could increase ease of use, so keep the feedback coming. Recording rest/pause that is exercise specific is also duly noted. Is this an area of interest for you in your workouts, and does this only apply to bench press? PM or email me.

RPE stands for Rate of Perceived Exertion, which is a way of determining the amount of effort it took to complete that exercise (with proper form, of course!). I built a function into the program that takes into account RPE when calculating caloric burn.

Sign up for this guys because one of the best things for any athlete is consistency and recording your training/diet/weight etc. is an awesome motivational tool as well as a tool to help perfect your training by seeing what you did leading up to personal bests, injuries, weight loss, gain etc.

Pipe Girl has been awesome at replying to any bugs/issues I've raised! Very impressive, keep up the good work.

heck yeah this is cool im putting in my workouts for the day right now. Thanks pipe girl keep up the good work.
