I freakin hate this place man. Every transaction I try and make they make me call them after tha 15 mins of filling out crap online, and I stay on the phone with them for another 15 mins answering stupid questions. And when it all comes to an end, to send money within the U.S cost me 40 bucks, thats pathetic man, I hate using W.U. I wish more people accepted greendot, its so easy, you go in to CVS by the 5 dollar card and put money on it then send the card number to the person and its done.

WU is far easier if you use an automated station. You call in using the built-in phone, but it is like being there in person--much easier to do, there is no credit card trail, and no person looking funny at you. I've done it that way ever since I had trouble using the online service.

Sorry, I lost track of this thread....

Where I live, there is an automated WU/ATM machine. It doubles as an ATM and a WU station. There is a phone attached to it, and when you pick it up, it automatically dials WU. You give your payment info, etc. to the person on the phone, and you get an authorization number for your transaction. After you hang up, you use the touch screen on the unit to enter the authorization number, put in your money, and you get a receipt with the MTCN number, etc. I like it much better than actually talking to an agent in person because they can't see you, and they don't ask probing questions. All my transactions have gone very smoothly.

Stangely enough...I just saw one of those machines in the rough part of town. (aka the ghetto) lol. I'll have to bring my switch blade and venture back out that way to check it out. haha.

nothing but positive experiences with W/U. I like them a lot. The automated ones at 7/11 are def the way to go if you can.

For greendot, you go to a CVS or store similar to it, you buy a 5.00 greendot card, take it to the cashier and tell them how much you want on the card. You then tell whoever needs to recieve the money the card number and thats it. VERY easy

Man Ihate WU always too nosey asking too many questions and last time the dumb girl put in the wrong country messed me up. Money gram is so much easier and no hassle cheaper too.

ok Wu, is best done at a store (a&p for example) when you do them there they dnt cal you r ask you questions. when you do it online, they call to confirm it was YOU who sent the money.
\
and press, greendot is similar to a phone card. all you do is pick one up, put money on the card at the register (walgreens does them) then send you FRIEND the numbers on the card and he colects the funds.

problem with that is when you collect the funds it has to go into a bank account. and eventually when you start going above 2k they start calling you asking why .... thats why some people are staying away from greendot. But still a great to send donations

has anyone had any fraud from WU, I just recieved an email saying that they need info from me to complete a $300 transaction to the UK. 1st I live in bklyn, ny. 2nd I havent used them in 2 yrs and know nothing about it.. Does anyone have any helpful info on how to find out if its true or somesort of spam mail for someone trying to get my info? Anything advice would help.. thanks

WU interogates people on the phone.....I had to freakin guess at some qustions beause they didnt apply to me.....me and my dad have the same name.

I liked when she said " SIR JUST ASWER THE QUESTION" and I said " FUCK YOU , YOU SIMPLE BITCH" CLICK!

yeah that "sir just answer the question" shit would have had me seeing red! as for greendot, it sounds great to be honest, im going to look into it, thnx all!

I just had my first problem with WU. Made an international transaction and made it clear that it was supposed to be in USD. They fucked up and put it in the local country's currency in the same amount which is NOT the same amount in USD. Idiots. Now I have to get it all corrected.

LOL...It seems like they have these WU and Moneygram / ATM machines at a lot of the 7-11's now. I'm really interested in the green cards. I saw another similar card that appears to be really easy to get and reload & also transfer funds from one card to another. If anyone wants more info let me know and I'll get all the info and possibly get a test card for myself to see how well it works and how easy it is to manage.
