what do you think it is about dark matter

That's interesting.......it sounds like symptoms of hypoglycemia but to crash after 20 mins like that isn't normal. What's your diet like the rest of the day?

yea I dont think its the darkmatter. If anything, that should greatly help reduce hypoglycemia. Unless your using slin.

PBJ and coffee about 730am
Egg whites and swiss at 10am
Train at 1230
Dark Matter followed by a Musclemilk about 20 min after
Chicken breast and rice at 3
PBJ at 530
Chicken or steak and cottage cheese or sweet potatoes about 9

Im pre diabetic, I wonder if that has anything to do with it. I know dark matter has about 40 carbs per serving, I wonder if its that?

Are you dieting, that doesn't seem like much food.

I bet your issue is because you're pre-diabetic, though.

does it have caffine in it? You could be super sensative to it if it does

get a blood sugar monitor and check it when this happens so you know for sure, sounds like hypo to me.

that makes me super lightheaded and shakey about 20 min after drinking it?

Do you start sweating? if so, like everyone else said it's hypo. I get that one every 2 weeks or so when I am dieting and taking a shit ton of different protein drinks, otherwise it rarely happens. I usually carry a snickers bar with me, that instant cures it..

you should try that, when you feel that way, eat a snickers and if you are good a little bit after it that's most likely what it is.

thanks for all the replies!

No Im not dieting, lol, Im actually trying to gain weight. I thought the 6 meals was sufficient enough? When I say egg whites, I usually request 8 to 10 on my sandwich, and my PBJs are something serious, lol. I use the sugar free jelly, but one jar of peanut butter lasts me 4 sandwiches. I use the arnold double protein bread. Maybe ill add another meal or two.

I was using the N Large in between meals to help me gain, but that shit has 86 grams of carbs per serving and thats not good for me.

Where can I get a glucose monitor? CVS?

No sweating, just jittery and lightheaded. Its almost to the point where I have to talk myself into staying conscious. I think once I get that feeling anxiety kicks in and it intensifies it

Jittery and anxious sounds like hypo. It could just be you crashing from not getting enough carbs. How many does dark matter have? I thought it was high glycemic and the problem could be that you aren't getting whole foods soon enough. I go hypo about 40 minutes after I drink my shake if I don't eat some whole food. Im borderline hypo. Are you taking anything like noxplode or maybe dark rage. It made me feel like that too.

Being pre diabetic would put you in a hyperglycemic state rather than a hypoglycemic state. Being prediabetic means your are in the beginning stages of Insulin Resistance. So when you drink Dark Matter the high GI carbs in it spike your blood glucose levels high. In response your pancreas secretes insulin to try and balance out your blood glucose levels and return them to normal but being in the early stages of insulin resistance your cells are resistant to the storing and lowering affect of insulin on glucose and so the glucose remains in the blood at an elevated state.

It would be very beneficial to get a blood glucose monitor and monitor your levels. You can get one at any pharmacy, the thing that sucks is the sticks or whatever they're called (lol) are around $1/each. You should definitely consider using Glucose Disposal Agents (GDAs)!!!

Having just learned about some diabetes stuff, that sounds like a very logical explanation, and makes perfect sense.

You definitely want to get a blood glucose monitor. Check your blood sugar when this is happening. It does sound like a hypoglycemic response to me, but it's also possible you are reacting to one of the ingredients in the stuff, possibly the waxy maize.

Last fasting result was a 116, my doctor says that between 100 and 120 fasting is that pre diabetes range. He did a A1C Hemoglobin to get my 2 week average and it was 5.5, where 5.6 is diabetes.

So it makes sense that it is most likely the high carbs in DM

About 2 years ago I complained to my doc about getting really really lightheaded and dizzy from time to time and he said it was hypo. He told me to carry lifesavers around with me. My question now is, when my sugar gets too high, does it have the same symptoms? High blood sugar gives you the jitters too?

High blood sugar symptoms aren't quite the same as it is for low blood sugar. From emedicinehealth, here are the symptoms of hyperglycemia:

-------------------------------
A high blood sugar level itself is a symptom of diabetes. However, an individual experiencing hyperglycemia may have no symptoms at all.

Common symptoms can include:

Dry mouth

Thirst

Frequent urination

Urination during the night

Blurry vision

Dry, itchy skin

Fatigue or drowsiness

Weight loss

Increased appetite
