Hey guys, longtime lurker, just wanted to know what you guys think about normal supplements (not IGF or gear) for getting back into lifting. While I may hit some IGF in the fall, I wanna go straight natural up through summer.

There's so many new supps and old ones are in various forms (creatine monohydrate, ethyl ester, etc.) What do you guys recommend? What brands? Thanks!

i've just started getting back into training myself...here are the over the counter supplements i currently use...

-protein powder (i use 3 different types-whey isolate for immediate post workout; casein for before bed; and synth-6 for when i feel i need some extra calories along with the protein)
-BSN cellmass (creatine) immediately after working out; or first thing in the morning on days i don't lift
-JACK3D prior to working out for energy and focus
-AMINO ACIDS
-Daily multivitamin (i use the vitamin shoppe especially for men because it has vitamins/minerals and some herbs)
-OMEGA 3-6-9s (there's a lot of data to suggest these are good for cardioprotection and overall health)
-Vitamin D (again, a lot of data to suggest this is a very beneficial supplement since many people are vit d deficient and may not realize it)
-New Whey protein shots-i take one of these first thing each morning; quick and easy way to get the day started with 42g protein

curious to hear what everyone else uses and what works for them...

This pretty much sums it up. This is definately comprehensive. Personally I use protein powder only for insulin shakes (my protein comes from food). Other than that I have a hard enough time remembering my fish oil, milk thistle, saw palmetto, and Vit C.

I think if you had protein, creatine, NO booster, thermogenic, aminos and a multi you'd be good. Of course you can throw in some other things like fish oils, milk thistle, but the first list would be good to get you through
