^^ I agree. For pros whose life revolves around training, eating, sleeping, having every macro nutrient down to a science I would think during a 12 week diet of eating the same things it gets tiresome. Especially the more you cut carbs...the temptation to cheat is inevitable....

i totally disagree. champions and the athletes that win, win for a reason. im not saying you dont wish you could eat something. but for the guys that are on mission and want to and to win, looking at a piece of cake and being tempted to eat it is ridiculous. you really think jay was like 'oh ill sneak a bite of ice cream. no big deal'? no fucking way. he wants to be MR.O and theres a 200k prize on the line. you couldnt pay him to eat it.

but if your not aspiring to be MR.O, and you want to have some dessert with your dinner, go for it!! you cannot live life that. its too short. trust me. this is my 9th year in a row competing, 4th nationally. dont get me wrong, i love the war of training for a show. but its getting old. i cant wait to find a happy medium of being in good shape and enjoying life.

isn't that what separates any great athlete from the rest of general population....an obsession with their 'craft' for bodybuilders and powerlifters strongman etc its their bodies i would think....I think as long as u compete u will always have that 'edgy' feeling about ur diet, training, etc cause that's your obsession, ur gift, ur goal....i watched the whole transformation thing with kevin levrone and yea it was amazing that he could come back and put on a good bit of size given his genetics but to quit lifting at all for a couple of years.....I don't know if that day would ever come for me, much less getting BACK into the gym afterwards....
