I do it and its a rough living in my parts of the woods..In my area there isnt alot of money all the time ...and with this economy its hard to get set clients right now...I love helping people and training them...(LOVE IT) but its hard to make a good living in Southeastern Iowa...

Maybe if I was in the citys, like Chi town or St.Louis things would be totally different

was one... got sick of all the bullshit, so now I do something else and sick of all the bullshit

I do it and it is a love/hate thing. Hate the hours...most ppl want to train before work (early in the morning) or after 6 or 7 at night. The gyms where I am make most of money and trainers get a small fraction of what clients are paying. Love the people, the interaction, wearing nike basketball pants to work everyday isn't bad. At least people understand when you tell them you have to eat or drink a shake real quick.

I hated it because people would cancel at the last minute and then not want to pay-after I would drive all the way down there.

People would want to sit around and bitch about their problems all the time instead of training...oh wait that's me right now:arcade:

That would suck but at my gym you make your client sign a 24 hour cancelation agreement. If they don't cancel 24 hours ahead of time you still get paid for it. And people do want to talk about their lives, but I interrupt them everytime and tell them to start a set. Its amazing what people will tell you about themselves while you are training them.

i am a PT

have about 12 clients

been doing it for about 5 years now.... nevr had a client not achieve resuts

LOVE my job

I have thought about doing some training so I'm curious about everyone's experiences, including getting certified.
