Yeah I use them when I start going over say 2.25x bw on deads and squat I also use them for bench but only when im repping right at 20-30 over bw. I havent ever used them for overhead press but I have considered it. Im always worried about my knees giving me shit when I start repping 260+ on squats.
 
hell yeah bro...ironic that u started this b2s as i was about to put up a thread about it....i JUST no longer than 5 mins ago put in an order some apt 24" blue mambas.....just started cycle and i'm in for a ride on this tren n dbol.....
 
I use straps when the weight gets too heavy for me to hold to with just my grip alone so I can build on forearm strength.

I'm the same way. I rarely use straps unless it's for heavy deads or heavy bent rows. I think that's why my forearms are so strong now... because I don't really use them.
 
i used to use wrist wraps, but have found it really doesnt make a difference in my lifts.
once i lost my pair, it never effected my lifts at all. but regardless it still good to have that extra support..... think im gonna buy a pair now :-)

now straps are a different story... i use them for everything, shrugs, HEAVY side raises, dumbell rows, etc
