Mazany, making her flyweight debut, took on Rachael Ostovich during the preliminary card of UFC Vegas 15. She controlled most of the fight and had her opponent in a slew of bad positions. Ostovich proved to be tough and gritty throughout, including one of the more unique escapes from a position we’ve seen in quite some time.

As tough and durable as Ostovich proved to be, it was the relentless pressure of Mazany that continued to add up. In the final round, Mazany landed a hard kick to the body that had Ostovich badly hurt. Again, the Hawaiian was able to hang in there and get back to her feet. Once she did, Mazany landed another kick to the liver that proved to be the beginning of the end. The official time of stoppage was 4:10 of the third round.

Mazany bounced back from a 22-second TKO loss to Julia Avila in her promotional return in June and returned to the UFC win column for the first time since a November 2017 decision win over Yanan Wu. The Glory MMA fighter improved her octagon record to 2-4. Meanwhile, Ostovich has dropped three straight.
