Facing off against Livinha Souza, who was ranked No. 15 coming into UFC 259, Lemos showed off her striking power by dropping the former Invicta FC champion twice during the opening round to earn the TKO stoppage. The end came at just 3:39 into the opening round.
“I trained very hard,” Lemos said about her win. “I studied Livinha very hard. This is the division. This is where I feel good. I want to keep on fighting. I want to fight May, June.”

Lemos wasted no time walking Souza down as soon as the fight started as she backed up her fellow Brazilian and began unloading punches after getting her trapped against the cage,
The first knockdown came after Lemos was battering Souza with leg kicks before unleashing a huge overhand right. The shot landed and sent Souza down to the canvas.
Lemos immediately went for the finish but she had to be wary of Souza’s ground game so the fighters eventually got back to the feet. That’s where the assault continued until Lemos finally stepped forward with a quick jab that stung Souza and sent her to the mat for the second time.
A few more shots followed and the referee saw enough at that point to stop the fight before Souza could take any more damage.
After making her UFC debut as 135 pounds, Lemos has looked unstoppable in her past three fights as she remains undefeated as a strawweight with this latest victory.
