The UFC has yet to the location for the event. A heavyweight showdown between Ciryl Gane and Alexander Volkov will take the headlining spot that night.
Alves (14-4) is coming off a devastating first-round knockout over Mounir Lazzez in Abu Dhabi, stopping the Tunisia native with vicious kicks to the body to pocket an extra $50,000 for one of the “Performance of the Night” bonuses at UFC Fight Island 8.
Emeev (20-4), a former M-1 middleweight champion, kicked off his UFC career at 185 pounds with a win over Sam Alvey in 2017 before cutting down to 170 pounds. Emeev won four of five as as welterweight in the UFC and enters the bout on a two-fight winning streak over David Zawada and Niklas Stolze.
