Jake Paul | Photo by Al Bello/Getty Images for Triller Jake Paul has no shortage of potential opponents after making short work of Ben Askren on Saturday.
The polarizing YouTube star needed less than two minutes to clobber Askren and score a first-round TKO victory in the heavily hyped Triller Fight Club main event. Much of the build to the boxing bout revolved around the retired Askren’s accolades in MMA, with “Funky” having won welterweight titles in Bellator and ONE Championship as well as owning a win over former UFC champion Robbie Lawler. So when he fell short against Paul, a number of notable MMA fighters stepped up on social media to challenge the social media celebrity.

Perhaps first and foremost was Askren’s close friend and teammate Tyron Woodley, who was just a few feet away in Askren’s corner on fight night when Paul picked up the win.
Woodley responded to a brash tweet from Paul, threatening to take him out if they ever met in the ring.
Enjoy saying you are a fighter for another day. Try that shit against me i'm catching a body @jakepaul And you mob with hoes. I wouldn't walk into a pillow fight with them. https://t.co/CKVwEH5Yj2

“Enjoy saying you are a fighter for another day,” Woodley wrote. “Try that sh*t on against me I’m catching a body [Jake Paul]. And you mob with hoes. I wouldn’t walk into a pillow fight with them.”
Woodley wasn’t the only former UFC champion offering his services as B.J. Penn was also quick to chime in, tagging Triller and telling them “send me a contract and I will happily knock this f*cker out in one round.”

Unsurprisingly, longtime Paul rival Dillon Danis also called for the fight, adding “Let me save the MMA community.”

Danis and Paul have been embroiled in an ongoing feud, which includes an incident this past December in which Paul made Danis the target of a drive-by water balloon attack. The potential matchup drew the interest of Bellator President Scott Coker, who said he’d be willing to book a two-fight series for the two in which one bout was competed under boxing rules and the other under MMA rules.
Even UFC Vegas 24 main event victor Robert Whittaker got in on the action when asked about potentially fighting Paul, joking with reporters later in the evening that he would gladly sign on for that matchup and at a lower cost than what Askren was paid.
“Yeah, I’d fight him for less,” Whittaker said of Paul.
Other notable names that volunteered to fight Paul include Matt Brown, Chris Leben, and Jimi Manuwa.
