Newly minted UFC flyweight Cynthia Calvillo, who outpointed Jessica Eye at this past Saturday’s event, needs an MRI for her right shoulder. If “positive” for an unknown injury, she faces a six-month suspension, per the Nevada Athletic Commission, which on Monday released a full list of suspensions stemming from the event.
Calvillo noted her need for an MRI after her win and said she’d like to make a quick turnaround if healthy enough to fight. She targeted the upcoming “Fight Island” events in Yas Island, United Arab Emirates.
Co-headliner Marvin Vettori also could be suspended six months if an MRI on his right knee is positive after a first-round drubbing of Karl Roberson.
