Esther Lin, MMA Fighting A bantamweight matchup has been added to the UFC’s Halloween event.
Multiple people with knowledge of the promotion’s plans confirmed to MMA Fighting that Miles Johns will take on Kevin Natividad at the UFC’s Oct. 31 fight card following an initial report from MMA Junkie. The event is expected to take place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas after the promotion’s five-week trip to Abu Dhabi.
Johns earned a UFC contract after earning a unanimous decision win over Richie Santiago on Dana White’s Contender Series in June 2019. Three months later, “Chapo” picked up a split decision win over Cole Smith in his octagon debut at UFC Vancouver. The Fortis MMA 135-pound fighter is coming off the first loss of his career to Mario Bautista via second-round TKO in his most recent appearance at UFC 247.
Natividad will make his promotional debut after being forced to withdraw from his scheduled UFC Vegas 9 bout with Brian Kelleher this past month due to a positive COVID-19 test. “Quicksand” has won his last five fights, including a recent second-round TKO win over Kyle Estrada at LFA 85 in July.
The UFC’s Oct. 31 event will be headlined by a middleweight matchup between former champion Anderson Silva and Uriah Hall.
