I've been thinking a lot about this lately. With so many states putting marijuana on their ballots, it surprises me that we haven't done more to fight to get steroids back. What do you think the major pushbacks would be in a battle to legalize steroids? There will be people who will put up a huge fight like Taylor Hooten's father, but we have more of a chance to actually educate people.

It sure would be nice to be able to use hormones to better your body and overall health for that matter, but too many doctors demonize it. There is NO reason for weed to be legal before steroids , we just live in a fucked up backwards world

Marijuana keeps the people sedate and manageable. It lowers motivation and the will to challenge the status quo. It allows a person to sit by and find humor in the drivel that pollutes our airwaves. It's a means of control.

Steroids on the other hand allow a person to be bigger, stronger, and more assertive. They make it easy to be less docile and less likely to be controlled.

Steroids are the antithesis of all the things that a governing body wants of the populous that it controls while marijuana is exactly the kind of thing that allows them to go about governance unchecked and unchallenged. So, while from a logical standpoint, hormones should be legalized and made available well before marijuana, from a governing point of view it is the exact opposite.

Well, now you've hit on a totally separate subject that I could speak at length about, so I will.

First, marijuana. It is for all intents and purposes illegal in the law of the land. Even in states where it is legal for medical or recreational use it is still a federal crime, just no one gives a shit at this point. The thing that does though is that even where it is legal for medical use it can't be truly regulated by a pharmaceutical company or the industry in general because it is deemed to have zero medical use i.e. a schedule 1 drug in the US. Ergo, there is no vested interest in the pharmaceutical power structure to keep it out of the hands of John Q Public.

Now, hormones. They are technically legal. You, I, or anyone with a legitimate need for hormone treatment can get it done with the right physician. Hormones such as testosterone are scheduled in a category that allows them to be used under the supervision of a physician and that they do have medical benefits albeit are subject to abuse. However unreasonable this may sound, it is a fact and not likely to change anytime soon because pharmaceutical companies have that vested interest. They have the control of the prescriptions and they make a whole lot of money off of them. Maybe not as much as something like oxycodone or codeine but if you look at schedule III drugs, you'll see that anything with less than 15mg of codeine is there.

So, in closing, it's all about the money that is potentially there for the pharmaceutical industry or the lack thereof in marijuana's case due to scheduling. Whether or not they truly want a sick population is something that I don't truly know one way or the other. They would probably sleep just fine at night knowing everyone on the planet is healthy and fine but addicted to narcotics under their control so long as they made that cash.

2 reasons
Anabolics Steroids Control Act of 1990
Anabolics Steroids Control Act of 2004

So congress said "ok this is all illegal" then up and made it all even more illegal with another act of congress all in a quarter century. You dont change that anytime soon so everyone just better get used to roids being illegal for a very long time

Very good point. Seems to me that we should be fighting that tooth and nail.

No money in healthy & happy. Also like it was so well put above big brother wants us more like a mindless gumby, "Buy! Consume! Obey!" "Don't ask questions" etc, etc.
After all we are all in the Matrix anyway. Which pill will you decide to take, Mr. Anderson?
