Default Have you been impacted by covid?

I've haven't been to active recently due to personal reasons. This has been a horrible year for my family. I lost my aunt a few months ago from natural causes. Then in August I lost a friend/co-worker (literally sat next to me at work) and my uncle the following week both from covid. This shit is real folks. I get so pissed off when I see dumbshits who refuse to wear masks. I understand some people can't wear them due to medical reasons, but if you don't have a medical condition please just wear one in public. This shit needs to end already. Sorry guys I just needed to vent a little.

Sorry to hear that you lost so many. As for being affected by covid 19.....well after bein involved in fitness Industry for my entire adult life from the lifestyle to business aspects, I can honestly say nothing has ever impacted my bottom line like this. After over 20 years of service with the loyalist customers any brand company or business could possibly want..its not getting better. In fact its going to get far worse.

And I know I'm no different than most and everyone got fucked. But our I Industry from Supplements to gyms was decimated and hell yes I'm afraid to get covid now more than the previous 6 months and not cause I think I'll die but rather I simply cant afford to get even a little sick and take time off from working my ass off to keep from losing everything...and theres no guarantee I wont go under anyhow sick or not.

Again. I'm sorry to hear of those who passed away close to you brutha. And thanks for the post on this topic. Plus it's always nice to see old vets pop back in now again

Owning a gym this yr is challenging to put it mildly. My monthly receivables have been decimated by cancels, by freezes etc. Revenues are down from being locked down and attendance is waaaayyyyyy down, if yr a loner and introverted you would love it here as chances are you be the only one here

The best scenerio I can hope for is that this market will correct itself and my main competitor will close soon. I'll weather the storm ok as I have very cheap rent, carry no biz debt and my personal debt in almost nothing

chihuahua so sorry to hear of yr losses, prayers going out for you bro

The gym I go to is super dead, but it has been nice for a super setting freak like me...............I feel like an old man since I am wishing for the good old days of 2019.

chihuahua sorry to hear about your loses. Death is always like a punch to the gut.........I have dealt with it many times....it sucks. Stay positive and active to keep your mind right!!

I had a huge surgery at the end of February, so I left 1 of 2 jobs I had right before that bc the recovery would take too long at 1 to be able to do my job.

I came back to my 2nd job just 2 weeks after sx (the recommended time off was 8 to 10 weeks) but my company said I could do light duty, just running equipment.

1 week after I came back in March the facility was closed due to covid.

May I was hired back at 1/3 of my hours.

July 4th I lost a friend, that had 2 kids and a baby on the way. I worked w him. Went to the same University as him. In the same program. In the same field of work. Worked out with him. Knew him for 14 years.

I have only been able to throw a ball over hand for about 2 months. did pushups and pull ups for the first time last month (actually did alright doing 55 pushups and 12 pull ups)
    Lost size. Gained fat.

Had to stop saving money for the next house back in March.

It's getting pretty depressing having to stack on extra shit to something already so difficult to deal with, but we are all going through it.

Thanks for sharing brother. Our economy as well as you will bounce back. I'm very fortunate I was not part of our RIF. My company let go of guys that had been there for over 15-20 years. Like I said the shit needs to end already. It kills me not being able to see my family. We're really tight, but I'm jeopardizing my parent's health.

Yeah man. Halloween we got creative w the kids and didn't do the trick or treat shit. Thanksgivings we are going to do a food swap & reheat shit I guess? wermp.
The only risks we have taken is work and grocery store. Ate w friends outside once.

My coworkers Husband had Covid, totally asymtomatic. She got it from him and was jacked up. And months later her blood pressure and heart rate are all over the place still.
Another friend landed in the ICU, and after she recovered her hair started falling out, and also maintains cardiac issue.

W my health I can't afford the risks, as well as My Dad which watches my kids sometimes.

Shit I'm even homeschooling my kids after the virtual schooling was such a joke for 5 weeks straight w bullshit zoom meetings that are full of audio and video glitches, alllllll day.

Thanks man, I can't wait to bounce back. We usually take a few reset trips a year, and this year have done nothing at all. Even for my Anniversary I'm going to have to get real creative since we aren't doing hotels/resorts/cabins.

I never got an answer. The autopsy was delayed a lot due to all the covid deaths. I don't know if he took something and something happened or what.
He thought he possibly had covid in December because he was really sick like the flu but came up negative for everything. Covid can cause a lot of issues after you have it, such as blood clots. He was young, health, very low in fat %. SO I have no idea.

It fuckin sucks. I have lost a lot of people (over 30 in 15 years) but that was the 1st time I have thrown up bc I was so upset. Before I found out I already had a few drinks (probably 7 shots worth) took my ambien, laid down, randomly checked my phone and had the message. So after all the news I drank about another liter of vodka to drown everything out.

Covid has kept me unemployed for 8 months. I’ve tried injecting pure covid-19 and that’s still the biggest consequence of this mild flu.
