Recovery periods

Just wondering how long people let each muscle group recover before training again? I myself usually wait a week. Does anyone ever go more than a week?

personally, I have acheived the greatest results working out 1 body part per week. I used to to each body part twice but my body did not respond well to that. I know someone who does 1 body part every 10 days, but to me that is kind of too long.

Only work arms and calves more than once a week...Pretty good results. Everything else is sore until the next week anyway...

I've experimented with once every4 or 5 days but with work and life schedules it's too difficult to stay on top of it and can get difficult just keepinig track of it. Worked great for me though for a while. Now once a week does the trick

5-7 days. mostly depends if Im on gear.

I like 5 days mostly cause when I go 7 I feel like im not at the gym enough. But I do get more pains/ injuries when im on 5.

hit everying DIRECTLY once per week.

of course tris get a little work on chest/delt day, bi's get some work on back day, etc.

I also lift one Body Part per week and seem to get the best results. I know for a fact i'm fully recovered and ready to destroy that muscle group again.

I guess I should clarify it a little further. On days that i do back and or chest i will throw in light tri's and light bi's usually 2 or 3 exercises.

My dad lets his body recover for 1-2 months per bodypart. lol. I on the other hand usually rest 1 week in between body parts. Occasionally I'll hit some body parts 2x in a week.
