wider stance and i go as deep as i can....i put a 5 lb plate under my heels and can really go ATG now without tilting forward......im suprised u dont feel the narrower stance in ur quads as when i do that i usually have to go lighter because my quads get an amazing pump....

feet at 45's, wide stance, ass to the grass. Right now im trying something different. Im blowing out my quads with leg ext. before i squat or deadlift.... So i cant go as heavy. But i still like my reps way up in the mid-teens.

I heard a long time ago keeping the knee's at 45's is better for them. Im sure it effects quad development, but I dont have any problems and i've squatted my whole life.

my wife says i have the perfect ass. -lol!!

Turning the feet out is supposed to accentuate hitting the outer quads from what I've always been taught. I've done all the different stances before, but I found out my foot position has been affecting how much each exercise hits my quads--specifically how the foot rotates from side to side. After figuring out that because I tend to walk on the outside edge of my feet, I have to make sure I rotate my foot in enough so that it is flat and stays flat during the exercise. This alone has started to help me build my quads. Since figuring that out, I'm going back to a wider stance, feet pointed out, and going down to parallel. I'll go ass to the grass on light weight with that stance.

good thread !!
id like to hear what others have to say about this !!

as i stated in another thread, i recently switched to legs outside shoulder width, and towrds the end of the whole leg workout i go back and do feet together also.... sometimes heels up on 2 25lb plates.... easier on the back, and helps square out my hips
