Cholesterol Levles

How high is too high for Cholesterol levels? I have been a little high that last few times I had it checked. Not too high, but right over what they consider too high. At what point would you start taking meds to control it? What type of Cholesterol meds do you take? Are there any OTC products that anyone has used. I really don't want any prescription since I am just a little high. I take fish oil now.

My diet is pretty clean, but it is still a little high. The only thing I have not cut out is eggs. I hate to stop eating them, but I might try it. Someone told me a product called Cholestoff worked, but I have never heard of it.

Adding in niacin will help. That's essentially what Niaspan is. Just take it at night so the flushing doesn't bother you while you're sleeping.

Or you can buy the flush free, it's a little more, but you'll be glad you got it.

I used to have high cholesterol and was on meds for it, Vytorin and Niaspan. I stopped them both and started taking a 500mg time release niacin tablet by Natrol at night and my cholesterol is perfect. Told my doc what I was doing and he was skeptical but saw by my numbers it was legit.

Give it a try, it's cheap and natural!~

Thanks. I am going to try the Niacin and see if it helps.

I just saw the title of my post and it looks like I need spell check too.
