Bodybuilding star arrested for drug crime

The American bodybuilding star Toney "X-man" Freeman was arrested by the police when he was signing DVD's in a store in Sundsvall on Wednesday. The crestfallen star was arrested in front of the eyes of his fans.

One of the worlds biggest bodybuilding stars is currently on a tour in Sweden. But in Sundsvall he got a cold welcome. While "X-man" was handing out good advice to his admirers uniformed police entered the store, writes Sundsvalls Newspaper on the internet.
- Is this a practical joke, asked the star while he was lead away, for suspicion of drug crime.

"We have learned"
The police knew that Freeman was visiting Sweden and they had planned the arrest thoroughly. Earlier this year the police executed "Operation Liquid" in which about 70 people were charged for drug crime. Currently the police is particularly cautious.
- During Liquid we learned that professional bodybuilders use steroids, growth hormones and other illegal substances, says Henrik Blusi, director of the police's city group, to Sundsvalls Newspaper.

"Sad role model"
Blusi says that "X-man" has admitted to the use of steroids, growth hormones and cannabis.
- In a way it's sad. He was standing in the store signing DVD's and there were a lot of younger people around him, who see him as a role model. An ideal you can only achieve by the use of steroids, says Henrik Blusi to Sundsvalls Newspaper.
After leaving a urine sample Freeman was released. But he's not welcome back.
- If you're a professional bodybuilder you shouldn't come to Sundsvall. We are very educated here.

this kinda old news. Its the Sweden cop running around giving guys shit just cause they are big and muscular. But they don't technically arrest him cause they don't have anything to arrest him for.

Yeah Jay Cutler was scheduled to go there, but when he heard what happen to Toney he back downed. Smart move on his part.

I read somewhere else they have already hauled some other guys in for having muscles they thought were too big.

Toney's been linked to AAS "crimes" at least a couple time before. he was just arrested in the US about a year back.

I'd be interested in reading the actual artical though. To use antoher poster's words, from the way it's written, it's like 'I wonder whose going to be aggrested next for having muscles they thought were too big."

There's so many guys that could be profiled like that and most of them are on or have used, but you know there's always someone that is decent size and doesn't use them, rare, but it happens and they'd detain him anyway. I wonder if Magnus Samuelsson the guy who's competed in the world's strongest man from Sweden has been arrested

Old news... Sweden is muscle profiling hardcore, which sucks for bodybuilding fans as their favorite athletes can no longer travel there for meet and greets and stuff... all because of suspicions as a result of their physiques.

just some nobody sheriff who wants to see his name in the paper to justify is salary.
just like most other managers I know.

Oh man, that's so damn funny yet if true, totally sad. Why the hell would the Sweedish LE profile AAS? I can't for the life of me imagine what good this would do...is their crime rate so low they really have nothing better to do? No rapists, mureders, thugs, perverts, coruption, etc.? Are muscles a cultural taboo?

LOL, yeah... another board that I am on has had several articles, threads and radio shows discussing this very topic and it sounds completely ridiculous, but that's what they're doing it seems. This was back in December... Jay was supposed to head out there too and as soon as Toney was released, he booked the hell out of there and then Jay cancelled his trip so he wouldn't get caught in the same nonsense.

Well, last time I saw a bodybuilder got arrested . He has the biggest arm in the world.
