i did squats today with my heels elevated on 2 25lb plates

took pressure off my knees, my lower back, and i was able to go all the way down , ass almost touching the ground!!!

i only did 265 but OMG the burn and strech i got was insane!!

i have tryed these on a 2x4 peice of wood, and loved them! also did u try posting pics cause it didnt go through

I really need to give this a try! Being a tall skinny bastard makes it hard to get to parallel, not to mention getting lower.

Sounds to me like you're probably just not sitting back far enough. If you can sit back and load up the hips, going parallel isn't really that hard at all no matter how tall or short you are

I'll give it a shot! I think sometimes I don't have the bar far enough down on my traps (too close to my neck) and that prevents me from sitting into the squat.

It should be sit right on your rear delts. If you get ready to squat, you can feel almost like a groove on your rear delts where it'll set almost perfectly. But sitting back, almost like your getting ready to sit on the toilet will make it easier to go deeper, plus it'll save your knees in the long run

This week when I do squats, I'll try to get a video to illustrate what I'm talking about. You just don't want your knees out over your toes at all. In all reality, your lower legs shouldn't move forward much at all

actually press , those are part of my signature

i cant seem to get them to show... if you are saudades could fix them id appricate it

they are the actual banners from our sponsers.. they always worked then i signed on one day and they werent showing.

so i deleted them and wrote the script over, still doesnt work... been doing it this way for years
maybe im just an idiot i dunno

I did legs today and I tried two things different today. I didn't have the 2X4 so I really focused on Big's suggestions (moving the bar down more and sitting back into the squats). I've been using this velcro pad thing on the bar cuz I'm a puss, so I went without that which really helped seat the bar better along with a mucsle shirt so I had more skin on bar contact. This I think made a big difference and I was able sit back into the squats with more confidence. I had to drop the weight down to 275 but I was getting 8-10 quality reps! Thanks guys!!! I'm finally doing some real squats!
