Results from HRT... Results from low doses...

Since there has been a lot of discussion as to what the minimum effective dosage of AAS is to illicit a physiological response I thought I would offer my own results...<O:p</O:p
<O:p</O:p

I started my HRT program back in August 2011 as a result of feeling sluggish and not having the same energy I use to. I was prescribed an initial dose of 200mg Test Cyp weekly and 200mg Deca weekly to help with joint pain from old sports injuries as my current profession is very physically demanding.

<O:p</O:pI am 6'2" and prior to HRT, I cruised at about 225 pounds - 10%bf. My fiancé' is a popular trainer and created a meal/wkout program for me to test for cutting. I ran the plan just prior to starting HRT. I am not a big fan of cutting but wanted to see where I could get to with clean diet and specialized workout program for cutting. Result 200lbs, 5.4%bf (Hydrostatic Bodyfat Test) on 2 month cutting plan all natural.

<O:p</O:pI finished that plan and then immediately started HRT and my fiancé created a bulking program for me as I was not a huge fan of the ultra lean look, I like some bulk and feel better. Under a month I was back to 220lbs +/-, still lean. Under two months I was up to 230lbs, still lean. Now at 240lbs and still fairly lean at 9%.

Over a month ago I dropped the deca and remained on 200mg of Test Cyp each week. I am currently 240lbs at 9%bf and holding strong. I noticed not much difference dropping the deca. I can still move the same weight, perhaps if I had to over analyze maybe I have slightly less strength, maybe. I still workout with virtually the same weight I used prior to HRT. My ballpark maxes are 500lb+ deadlight, 150lb Dbells - incline bench for reps, 365 flat bench, 120lb dbells on seated overhead shoulder press for reps, etc. I have been going easy on the squats because they started flaring up issues with my knees and IT bands again.

<O:p</O:pAs for my bloodwork. Not bad but my liver enzymes and estrogen are up a bit. So I have been talking about dropping the test even lower to see if I can drop the levels down that way rather than upping the Arimidex or adding something else. My RBC was getting to the higher end of the scale so I just went and had a therapeutic phlebotomy which seems to have worked well as a preventative measure and I think I just feel better in general from it.

<O:p</O:pThought I would pass along my results as I often see posts on this forum of people wondering what results might be from minimum dosages. I know many people said I would not get any physiological effect from such a low dose. I know my fiancé’s plans are excellent but considering I have never been 240lbs before I would say the minimum dosage is working just fine. Prior to HRT the most I weighed was probably 235 but I was probably 15%bf too.

<O:p</O:pTo sum it up I would say great results can be had on low dosages of Test in my opinion. 200mg Test Cyp and up 40lbs bodyweight (200lbs to 240lbs) with a bodyfat increase from 5% to 9%. <O:p</O:p

Thanks for the info, hopefully this will help some of the guys out here. Couldn't the raised liver enzymes be from supplements as well?

Yes, you are absolutely correct.

Although, I don't really take any other supplements I have read that just lifting heavy and breaking down muscle can elevate levels and this is common in weightlifters. Also, I should mention that I recently got sick (and I NEVER get sick and never take medicine) and was prescribed some fairly harsh antibiotics. I read that the antibiotics can also impact these results negatively. Although, the figures were already a bit high prior to the meds, this could have also been making matters worse.

Glad you found the information helpful and thanks clarifying this in your reply.

very helpful bro. im considering something very similar to this for myself. i was thinking 300mg test C but maybe 200 is all i need. thanks a lot for your post

I can't see your results from my iPhone, but 200mg a week of test cyp put me at 1000ng/dl. Liver enzymes were unaffected as were all of my other values. I have been over 6000ng/dl.

I read on a forum that unless you are going to go with in the ballpark of 500mg/wk Test and cycle it, you are just going to get sides with no huge benefit from a lesser dose. So what the study was saying is if you go over say 200mg/wk but less than 500mg/wk you are going to get the increased E, liver enzyme issues, high RBC, etc etc without significant benefits to justify the increased sides. That is just what I read during some of my research but it kind of makes sense.

<O:p</O:pI am thinking of lowering my dose to 100mg/wk Test Cyp just to see if I notice any decrease in size/strength or overall well being. If I feel the same and get the same results then this would obviously be a better option as it will further assist in keeping E, RBC and liver enzymes lower without having to add other things like more Adex, etc. There are some old journals that hint at the great effectiveness of very small doses of Test.

While this may offer great results I dont believe this will get anywhere near the results of the super-physiological doses so it really depends on what you are after I guess. I am happy with 240lbs without takign any other supps other than protein and bcaa's. If I can take low dose Test, lean out a bit and hold the muscle, then this is mission accomplished for my goals.

Good luck.

If I drop it to 100mg, I will pass along the results. If nothing else it will be interesting to see the results.

great results, which proves that you can get good results on just a little bit of test. I wonder what you could do on 400-500mg of test for an 8 week peroid of time...have you considered doing a touch more to see effects...you must have some great genetics to gain that much on 200mg of test...

The 200mg/wk has meet at greater than 1500ng/dl. My LabCorp test only goes to 1500 and stops.

I have thought about it but am a little apprehensive as I dont want to get a bunch of sides and I am honestly content at 240lbs. My job is physically demanding and the more weight I put on the more I have to lug around with another 80lbs+ of gear. So my knees are a little pissed off right now. I think as extreme as I will probably get (which is baby dosages I know), is adding back in the low dosage Deca from time to time to see if I really notice much diffrence other than the joints feeling a little better.

That's a hell of a response. I can tell you with 100% certainty that your results are not the norm. Mine may be a little off as I have to figure out my dosing and half lives when blood test time comes around so that it APPEARS that 1000mg a week puts me at 1000ng/dl. Sometimes it's a crap shoot with UG gear. After my show I stayed off of everything (I was doing 100mg of Prop a day) for several weeks. My Dr and I figured out when I should be in the range we wanted and the tests came back at 1700ng/dl!! The Prop was actually 170mg per ml. That was confirmed by a blood test only a few days later when it was exactly where it should have been given our new accurate dose and half life.
