I will be doing Nationals in November...

Alright, I am about 90% sure I will be doing Nationals this year. Main reason is, is to play to politics game of men's bodybuilding. I need to get up there and make a great showing, 2nd call out would be a win, and making top 5 would be icing on the cake. But before I go on to Jr. Nationals, which I do want to win, I need to get on that National level stage and be seen and "pay my dues" so to speak. This way I will get a fair look at Jr. Nationals and then on to the North Americans next year. So from here on out, all National Level shows for me. I know I need to bring up my legs, but it is what it is, and dont think Im not killing the shit out of them now. So I am keeping my weight in check and plan on not going over 250 lbs and only dieting 12 weeks. I feel this will allow me to hold on to muscle more and be even bigger and fuller for Nationals. I will be training to win, so dont think I wont bring it. I want that first call out. I may be to new kid on the block at this show, but I plan on turning heads and getting noticed also.

That's a tough decision. I see why you are doing it and I can't disagree. Are you positive that you can come in with better condition? When is it? It's alot of money to compete again already as you know. However if you can come in leaner and fuller then it will be extremely beneficial in every respect. You definately have the right mindset to do it. I'm rooting for you

I understnad the political crap. Sucks though. Id rather see you take a year and come back bigger. Anyways, I also think the 250lb thing should maybe go to 260lb (ish). Im sure you know better than I but you guys loose size those last few weeks, wether its muscle/fat or whatever,.. you guys need extra. Id shoot a bit higher on the weight before dieting but I havent competed so Im playing arm-chair quarterback bro

Nuk, keep your weight right where you got it bro. I'm telling you this, I have kept my weight at 205 to 210 for awhoile now and it has made such a diff!!!!! Ofcourse I'm a lightheavy, but the theory is sound. All the weight I have put on since my last damn neer all been qaulity muscle gains. There isn't one person that see's me and doesn't think I'm 220 to 230lbs. They are shocked when I tell them my actual weight. Remember nuk, you and I both know that the idea isn't about just putting on weight but to make quality gains that we need to get to the next level. You got all the tools bro, now just use all that knowledge you have and get that fckn pro card!!!!!!

this ^^^ My first show in 2009 in weighed in at 222lbs, the same as I did at Jr USA's, but what a BETTER 222lbs it was.

2009 222lb vs. 2012 222lbs

Not even fucking close!

This is exaclty what I mean. If I put a pic of me at 225 from a year ago and one of me now at 210, it would be the excat same diff. I tell people all the time, you can lift every fckn day for years but if your diet isn't in check it's useless. You look so much better bro. Like two diff people. I get told that all the time myself. The diff between how I look now as compared to a year ago is just crazy.

I have to say that deep down I'm glad you went with this decision and it's because you're thinking exactly how you need to. No guy will probably ever win a National show coming out of the woodwork. As it is, you've gotta get talked about so that you're being thought about before the show is even scheduled. The judges in this sport need to know who you are (as unfair as it seems, it's true). We all know that no one that's went pro did it in their first show. It takes getting up there and being noticed then being expected to bring it.

good deal nuk...

hey I got your text yesterday. I was with a client...but we can talk this weekend....LMK
