In your op who has done the most for bodybuilding? In my op Arnold was the guy that really made BB mainstream. I mean if it wasnt for Arnold where would our sport be? Dnt get me wrong there have been some great BB that have really represented the sport well, but without Arnold and all his hype, battles and contraversy this sport would ref not be where it is today.

Arnold without a doubt. Some of my first memories of body builders are of Lou Ferrigno in the late 70's and 80's as the Incredible Hulk not Arnold. I knew of Lou Ferrigno before Arnold. Arnold just did more with his career...

I agree, Arnold but in my day, Dorian was king. You werent a baller unless you rolled a 300+lb physique. He did it and looked good, most did it (like me) and looked like shit, lol. Everyone has there time in BB and had there roll-model.

I'm going to take this another direction and probably get reamed for it but I would say Dave Palumbo has done the most for bodybuilding. Before he came everything was hush hush when it came to drugs and such. He was the first really well known person who was well educated that people trusted who was open with supps and openly gave advice and seminars about it. 2ndly he revolutionized the way people followed the sport via the Internet. When he took over at MD he had a vision to use the Internet in a new way. He allowed hundreds of thousands of people follow a bodybuilding show through his up to the minute play by play of all the shows. I know I've spent many of nights hitting the "refresh" button waiting to see what his thoughts on Jay, Kai, and Phil were! Then he brought short training videos to tge net of people we have never seen before and I feel, really took amat bodybuilding to another level. He made tge weeks leading up to PQ exciting because he introduced us to the competitors. I could go on and on but as important as Arnold was in the beginning I think Dave is the one who took things to another level for this sport.

Arnold dropped the ball in my opinion! He could have done so so so much more for the sport of bodybuilding and got rid of the negative conitation** associated with the sport! He could have done a shit load more! So he doesnt get my vote!

ANd the Palumbo argument is a good one, but everytime ive ever seen the man he always looks me up and down and gives me the fucking stink eye, so he aint getting my vote either! lol

So, who gets your vote? Nuk Nuk?

I do wish Arnold would speak out more about steroids. He only says, yeah I did them, but they weren't illegal back then and you could get them easily. I wish he'd just stand up and say, "Yeah, I used steroids! Does it look like they hurt me any?"

So, who gets your vote? Nuk Nuk?

No One! No One has really done shit for bodybuilding other then to help themselves, atleast thats my take on it, if u guys have anyone that maybe im overlooking then i would be happy to change my mind

So if Dave wouldn't have given you the stink eye you would've agreed with me?

Yes lmao! It wasn't just once though lol the last two times at the New York Mets show he gave me some nasty stink eye lol and I didn't like it lol

It was that " you ain't shit" look that men give other men when they're insecure lol

It's probably a tie between me and BigWV for who's done the most for the sport as a whole, well within the last decade anyways ;) lol Arnold? IDK though, every time I watch a Stallone or Van Damne movie I wanna workout, still to this day, and since I was like 7

Yeah looking at and watching "The Rock" movies does it for me,lol, Jean Claud Van Dam ..Not so much, lol

u seen any of the leaked pix for that body building movie the Rock and Mark Wahlberg are gonna be in? (assuming this has been said 3000 times on here already) The Rock Is a fucking beast in that shit

No i dont even know what ur speaking of? But it sounds kick ass! What is it about?

Damn thread hijackers!!! Lol I still want someone to come up with someone other than Arnold Dorian and of course real winner Dave P. This thread is on every board 100 times and there's never anything good. It's always Arnold, Ronnie, Dorian. But if you think about the question none of those guys really went out of the way to make a change in the sport except for Dave! Arnold was just the FIRST great bber. Pumping iron had some good things come with it but he didn't CHANGE the game.
