I took some time off, here and there. Started a cycle here and there. Months went by... Couldn't really find the same consistent hard core training, good supps, and diet. It's been a couple years now, since I can say I lived for the gym.

I'm trying to get it back, but man... It's painful now. Arthritis set in, mosty the knees.. I
Not sure if its getting better or what. I had some cortizone shots in my knees, didn't help much.
 
Build your temple overtime.. Start back slow brutha.. Glad you can get back in.. Muscle has excellent memory just get it firing again.. Keep us posted!
 
Norm!!!! Good to see you back! Have you thought about using a little Deca? As I get older it really seems to help. As you know I also swear by MC IGF. It seems like I'm OK for a month or two when I stop. After that my joints and tendons tank. I'm also training alot less frequently now and that helps
 
welcome back....took awhile for me to get back into the groove after a long lay off, but as they say slow and steady wins the race.
 
I go very slow starting back if i take a lay off. After doing nothing, just a little is better then that. Each time just a
little more. It really helps my mind get back into it going slowly. It always seems the guys that go balls out at first
dont last long. The hardest part seems just getting into the gym lol. Keep draging your ass in, it will come. Your been
around long enough.
 
good to see your getting back into it.. best thing to do is train smarter . . if you say arthritis is an issue then you will need to thnk smart and work in a way which less agrivates it...

some people find that working with lighter sets helps others find that the lighter and more volume approch is actually worse, as the repitition is what kills their joints.

Glucosamine and fish oils should be a must ...

Me too norm i got a free membership with my new apt to a pretty cool gym in my city. I went and got all the paperwork done now i just gotta lug my fat ass in there. God i started thinking its been 9 months since ive hit it religiously sad sad story. Gonna be one weak pussy when i get in there. Glad your feeling it again, had some shitty stuff go down in my life so im getting that fire back, i think i need the iron to keep from hurting people. Still waiting on my plain ticket to show up normy haha :).

true story there man. I hit it hard the other day and just blasted some cardio this morning, feels good and so much clearer in my head. Good to be back in there.

Im currently on 1 gram of test, 600 mgs of deca. I've been on for a month now.

My major issue is my knees. I don't know what the Hell happend, but over night they got arthritis really bad. I tried training around the pain, even tried pushing myself. The end result was bad, my knees would swell way up and just get more sensitive. Finallly, I went to a sports doctor, I was going to get an MRI, but he said just get an xray. He could tell it was just arthritis. He shot both knees with cortizone and sent me on my way.

Even with the cortizone, they are still a mess. Popping, cracking, pain, swelling. I've given up on squats, sucks... I loved to squat. Deads, leg press, leg curls is all I can do now. It's also messed up my cardio, I can't run obviously, even stairs bother my knees.
