Leg Day Motivation aint what it use to be lmao

I gotta be honest man, I just can't get motivated to kill my legs like i use to! lmao. They use to be my best body part so i would love to train them and loved to get that quad dangling lol, but my knees aint what the use to be and i just fucking have to keep talking myself into training legs every week!

Damn it sucks when your motivation for a certain body part declines! maybe its the weather, maybe when its shorts weather outside again i will feel different but for now ….ahhh yuck
 
I hear ya, I even pack a back pack with 20 (1pint) water bottles and go hike up a mountain to do mine. I dislike killing my legs anymore especially with all the damn stairs in my house. I have resorted to leg presses and leg extensions, as squats kill my knees and lower back now. It sucks getting old
 
LOL, I THINK IM GOING TO BUY THAT MACHINE THAT SENDS ELECTRIC THROUGH YOUR MUSCLES LMAO. OR MAYBE I WILL JUST HOOK A CAR BATTERY AND JUMPER CABLES UP TO MY QUADS LATER TODAY, I'LL LET YOU ALL KNOW HOW IT GOES LMAO
 
I must've skipped the phase where training legs was ever motivating ;) I didn't eat as much as I wanted to on Monday and yesterday's squats/split squats were BRUTAL - I was barely able to grind them out. I actually got a TENS unit a few months ago and I've been loving it - especially after killing it at the gym! You do have to crank them way up to actually get anything out of them, but they definitely have their place!
 
I always love leg day. You just got to mix it up though so you stay motivated and dont get bored with the same routine every leg day

yea ive really just been doing leg press and extensions as squats fuck me up always has but when i get on cycle i get stupid and go fuck shit up every damn time

yes that use to be the case brutha lol, but when your knees go, so does motivation, regardless of how well u mix it up!
 
I hear ya bro! Leg day is a brutal day! It's my most intense and longest workout in my regime! I like the day off before and like to eat at least 3 carb meals before to really have the energy.
 
I fucking hate working legs now, used to love it. Would get super fired up and hammer out squats and deads, now a lot of the others I pretty much jump on extensions to pre exhaust, then misc feet placings on leg press to hit quads, then some ham string work and ice my knees for 45 minutes when i get home. All the clicking and grinding that goes on in there just makes me cringe. You are right bro it is hard to get motivated for torture, and the same ol shit, had to take away all the fun exercises.
 
Im with ya swole as I pre-exhaust with extensions as well, its my first exercise every leg day!

I use to split my legs up into two separate days, hams and calves one day and then quads and calves another day, i use to love splitting it up, but now i just wanna get it over with in one workout lol
 
My knees are shot. Arthritis gets the best of me at times. I don't like squats, but I do leg curls and press.
 
Leg press only here. Instead of hammering my legs with heavy weight, I have gone to 20-30 rep sets with a lighter weight. I don't have to get psyched up like I used to, and my legs actually grow more with the high reps.

I hear ya about the legs man. I used to love killing my legs. Hell, I used to be able to squat 6 bills....now 225 feels like its going to crush me...lol. Two bad knees and some compressed vertebrae don't help much.
 
My legs have always been my strongest point, especially squats. Had to give up squats because my back would go out 3 times a year. So I gave it up 1 year ago and have had no back problems at all. Now it is my knees and I can do most leg exercises but my left knee swells up like grape fruit. It sucks just turning 50 yrs old!
