Ok so here's my baseline HGH results before I get bloods on PSL's grey tops. It was 1.5 hours after waking, fasted, no fluids or excercise. Just woke up, got dressed and went. Is that number extremely low to anyone?

The normal range is. 0.0 to 10.0 . you are 0.4 . so YES you serum level is low. This depends also on your age as well.

The problem with testing GH level is you have no idea if you just pulsed or the pulse ended a little while ago. Unless you force a pulse, you will need to do many blood tests throughout the day. If you straight up inject HGH, you will be essentially forcing a pulse, so you can get a good reading. I would not worry too much about the very low reading. HOWEVER, you CAN use this result as a way to start talking to your doctor about low GH levels. He can do a bunch of other tests and you might get lucky enough to be prescribed HGH.

According to the National Institute for Health:

The normal range for growth hormone level is typically:

  • 1 through 9 nanograms per milliliter (ng/mL) for males
  • 1 through 16 ng/mL for females
GH is released in pulses. This is why random GH measurements are rarely useful. A higher level may be normal if the blood was drawn during a pulse. A lower level may be normal if the blood was drawn around the end of a pulse. GH is most useful when measured as part of a stimulation or suppression test.
