Any of you guys have this? Is it genetic or can AAS and stuff cause or make them worse? I've got the little spider veins on the inside of my thighs when I'm pale... which is most of the time, but I've got a mess going on in right calf. Aside from having an issue with veins and blood they've gotten painful as my calves have grown. I think I need to have them foxed, but I'm scared. Any of you guys have this done? Have any of you noticed stuff like this? I know since putting on so much muscle I've got veins all over, but on my calf it's like a big knot. Really disgusting. Any I risking them coming back or getting worse elsewhere?

I don't have them but from what I understand they are 100% genetic. Also once fixed they they can return. Like hemorrhoids...

most bodybuilders who i have seen with varicose veins are older guys who are on the down slide and those veins start popping out all over.they start showing up on them when their muscles start shrinking from age.not sayin that is your cause.just my experience

My wife started dealing with them a few years ago. However I am positive its from shaking her ass in stripper shoes + standing all day at her real job.

I'm going to see if I can get in and get them fixed, but man thats going to really throw a wrench in my calf training I'm thinking. Ya I've seen the older bodybuilders with them so I was wondering if it had to do with bodybuilding

It has nothing to do with AAS bro. Veins just get wore out. Some before others. There are "flaps" in there that lose their elasticity and leak. Thats what causes the blood to pool in the veins.

Ugh.. Dude they are so gross.. I literally get nauseous everytime I look at them. I've got to get them fixed. Anyone know how bad the surgery is and how long recovery takes?

Dude i feel your pain. Im only 30 and like you said, mine are a fucking mess also. I honestly do believe there is sometype of a correlation between AAS and varicose veins. I staryed developing them right around the age of 21 when i did my first cycle. I didnt cycle agaim for another 7 years and they didnt get worse. Since ive stayed on indefinately for the last 2 years theyve gotten at least 90 percent worse. I notice when i run heavier cycles they seem to pop out more and more, and like you said become quite painful.
I read that varicose are more prominent in women. If you look into it i found the reason being is because higher levels of estrogen seem to contribute to the veins, and obviously thats something that women have.

No even bullshitting you, if i dont run my AI, my varicose veins will hurt and at times it feel like i have a full calf pump all day long. When i up my aromasin to where it should be or more the pump/cramping goes away and the veins seem dont seem to get any worse at least.

This has just been a big problem for me for a while so ive put in a lot of thought and time trying to learn about how to fix it. It it really gets to that point where its so unsightlt that i cant stand it then ill look into surgery. Until then im just keeping an eye on it. Anyways these are all just my opinions. I feel your pain brother. These things suck...

I have a giant vein that goes from my groin down to my left calf. Its this giant u sightly bulge of knotted up veins when it reaches the middle back of the calf. The right calve isnt much better. Down by my left ankle is just a ton of spider veins. The problem is the leaner i get the worse they look. I recently started MT2 and tanning and that def helps to conceal them much more.

Edit: quoted wrong person. Trying to quote what cloudstrife said.

Yah dude, thats the most basic reason as to what causes a varicose veins. I think there are certainly many things that speed up the process and what makes the veins fail.

Also with the surgery, theres still the chance they could come back somewhere else. They can seal the vein its self so basically it shrivels up and blood doesnt filll up in ot therefore making it not really visible. Once its closed off, its closed off for good. Theres other procedures i cant recall ay the moment.
