At first it used ti be kinda fun... eating copious amounts of food but quicly becomes a chore. I seriously stuck on about 4000 - 4500 cals a dayand some days i dont even make that amount. As a truck driver my hour at vary grea5ly and things change at a drop of a hat some days i am not prepared for a 15 hour day at work when i was anticipating 8hours so i miss meals and cant catch up..

How do u guy increase calories with out fried foods... im trying to put peanhtbutter on what ever i can but it gets tiresome

Got any eating tips?

Man its a struggle. I don't really even keep track anymore. I eat a good amount of those granola protein bars with peanut butter and nutella... and pizza, hamburgers... whatever. As long as you get the protein in I think the rest isn't too terribly important

If you are trying to keep calories high on the road, nuts are the best. They don't really spoil and they are very calorie dence and healthy for you.

Your a truck driver bro and spend most of the day sitting down right? Stop chasing how many calories you eat everyday. Focus on lean protein, complex carbs and healthy fats.

I buy tons of the flavored almonds from Blue Diamond. At first they were to replace my cravings for chips since they come in flavors Salt and Vinegar , BBQ, Chipotle , Wasabi and Soy, and others. Now they just one of my favorite snacks. I will eat them when I'm driving with a protein shake. About 1,200 calories in a can if you like those flavors.

Love those things.

I think his question is how to do this when on the road and unexpected delay extenditure happen. This is easier to do when you work a 9 to 5 in an office then go home. On the road this can be difficult especially if trying to take in excess calories.

For me nuts travel well ( fats covered), canned meat is a good addition (sardines, oysters, tuna, etc...) Any ideas on the complex carbs that are healthy that travel well?

OP, I don't know if they make a mini fridge to run off 12 volts, but I would look into it if I were you. Find a way to wire it in to your truck, and stock it up with good eats.

In actual fact even though i drive a truck i drive Garbage and i manually flip the bins in the back with a crew of 3...i pull up, jump out run short bursts grab a bunch of bins flip them in the back, jump back in drive 50 or so meters and do it again.. this goes on some days for up to 15 hours including some breaks. We flip on average 2000 bins a day so its actually very physically demanding. This is how i get my cardio in also the reason why i need more calories.

Job also destroys the tendons due to rsi

Check out Six Pack bags... I think that's the name. They make backpacks that are basically huge soft coolers and have special tupperware and ice packs. You can literally pack 6 tupperware full of meals and still have almost an entire backpack for non refrigerated stuff... I have one and I absolutely love it.
They're fully insulated and have pockets for drink and all that.
