If you have been in the gym for years, you at some point have heard some one somewhere on a leg press machine say "Oh I squatted a thousand pounds in high school"! Well ladys and gentleman meet the only man in the world that will be able to say that when he's full grown! That young man is Joseph Pena! The only high school kid squatting 1000 pounds !!! Here he is with 1,025 :

pretty impressive! and for the record I have not heard anyone ever tell me they squatted a thousand pounds in high school. Do people really say that not knowing how much that is lol

Impressive indeed! Only 18?? Damn, what are they feeding these kids?

it's today's beef and chicken!! I'm telling you. Why do you think 14 year old girls have bodies like 21 year olds now? Why are 12 year old boys growing facial hair? All of the hormones and stuff they are feeding the animals to get more meat out of them are being passed on to everyone that eats it.

I agree. It's crazy I never thought I would worry about feeding my kids meat from the grocery store. Looking for "free range" or "antibiotic free" and "hormone free" is an expensive pain in the ass.

I posted some articles a while back that showed traces of trenbolone in beef that was ready to eat. I understand it's not bioavailible when eaten but what dose it do after a couple generations to us or our kids on a molecular level?

Like the whole salmon craze. The "Atlantic salomon" has barely any of the stuff that's good for you and it's not easy finding non farm raised salmon.

We sure have screwed up our meat.

Anyway that kid is a beast.

I've seen a record number of big, tall guys that were from Idaho (6' 4" and taller, and they weren't tall and thin either), and the only link I found was that they drank raw milk from the farm. Hormones in the milk? I'm betting so. Lol, although I'm now wishing I had grown up on the farm!

But not to hijack the thread too much.. Damn, that was quite the lift, and he's only in high school. Heaviest I was able to do in high school was 225.
