Default Long Term Storage of Raw Powders

Hello all. I have been homebrewing for 2.5 years now. I always kept my raw powders stored in the plastic bags that they arrived in, and kept them in a box that was kept in a cool, dry, dark place.... I have heard some people discuss keeping their raws in the freezer...

Where do you store your raws at? And what extra precautions do you take with storing your raws? Is there any danger in keeping the raws in the plastic bags they arrived in?

    Thanks

Airtight in dark plastic. Room temp(68-82f). Good for years! Heat, air, sunlight are your enemy.

I think Max is spot on for the most part, but i also think the type of powder your asking about is important. I know things like equipoise turn to shit real fast as well as enanthate . What are you specifically asking about

Thanks for all the replies! I am storing test enth. And the reason I am asking (separate issue) is that I have some raws test enth that I have previously brewed and ran for a year. The same raws, are now all melted like in their original (sealed) bags. I brewed a good size batch of those same raws recently, and got red, hot, painful, hard lump, injection site and a 2 night fever to go with it; dirty shit.

That sounds painful! Testosterone Enanthate powder is still good to use even after it turns to thick liquid syrup lol just wanted to make sure newbies didn’t think you meant you got infection due to brewing the test e from its liquid state.
