    Default old man training/cycle

how do some of you old goats train and cycle now that you've gotten older? I'm talking you bastards that are 40 plus

my cycle consist of tren deca and I jumped this cycle with dbol-quit taking dbol years ago because for whatever reason it quit working but this time around it really has kicked in can definitely feel it

I don't take nowhere near the amount that I use to-no need for it

as for the workout it's mostly machines-almost all machines now to save my joints

    I have 3 workouts...

WORKOUT 1: Back-3 sets of pull downs, 2 sets of seated rows
    Biceps-3 sets of cable curls
Shoulder- 2 sets of seated military press
    Neck-2 sets of neck curls

WORKOUT 2: Chest- 3 sets of seated incline press
Tricep-4 sets of cable rope push down
Traps-3 sets of dumbbell shrugs/2 sets of machine
    Forearm-2 sets of wrist curls

WORKOUT 3: Legs- 4 sets of 25 reps bodyweight squats
Calves- 2 sets of1 leg bodyweight calf raises

    Workout 1 and 2 under 30 minutes
    Workout 3 under 10 minutes
Pretty much all workouts are one giant superset very little rest

Use to be I would go in the gym like a beast now I'm more like a robot no emotion just do what the paper says and try to beat my last record

How much have your workouts changed over the years

I will be 51 this year. I had some health issues that I dealt with over the past few years, but I moved to a new city, New job and a true 40 hour work week- I had been working 85 hours for many years and it ragged me out and affected my training. I have been able to focus on my training and supplementation and it has been a positive experience so far. I can still push some good weight and mix it up between free weights and machines.
My workouts are about an hour to an hour and a half. I keep dosages pretty tame (I don't need the mega dosages of the past) and always follow PCT afterwards.
I am about to do a simple test cycle with anadrol and igf. It has been about 10 years since I have used drol so this should be interesting.
At any rate you should always listen to your body and only work to your capacity. Eat, rest and recover.

If im being honest, and if it werent for the decades of hard work i put into my body, I dont think I would be able to take so much time off and still look good enough for myself so that when im able to hit it hard again, at least i know if i dont have the umph or strength, at least i feel like im still semi jacked in a mini me kind of way. But it always come back once im able to hit it hard again, Though each time a little less than the previous time! So my answer i guess is its mental! Its a shallow answer too, but hey we all know exactly what im talking about. You have to feel good!

My workouts have changed tremendouysly, I rather look like i can free weight squat a house, and use a hack squat with fake plates (25's lmao) , Then hurt myself!

I also never used much more than just testosterone most of the time, but when i did "cycle stack" well, lets say im right there with you dorian, i cant do do near the shit i use to, further more i wouldnt want to!

I honestly never thought i would say this, but im content with my physique, sure i have areas i want to and need to improve, but im happy with where i am, aside from taring half my bicep off, that is a mind fuck. At least it wasnt my dick right

I remember when you did that. I think 50 at this point is damn good.

was wondering how time off you guys take...

I use to go 2 days on 1 day off-now it's more like 2 days on 1 day off, 2 days on 2 or 3 days off

sometimes I will take an entire week off, noticed how some pros after a big show will take a whole month off the gym...probably learning from the champs of the past like Dorian Yates and Ronnie Coleman that never took time off and are suffering from chronic injuries

Have to train smarter these days, get in and get out. Take a lot longer for me to recover these days.

^ ^ ^ Same here, have to be smart about what I do or I end up sore for a week. I still train intensively, but I've had to cut down on the time so I try to be in the gym no more than 45 minutes to an hour.

I remember in an interview how Couture talked about how his training changed as he got older and he needed that extra time off from the mat to let all his injuries heal
