Test Only

Long and short Ester.

I have been off for 4 months.

Should I start with a blast or front load? Or should I start small and ramp my way up?

Highest level so far is 1 G test /week.

Man... I’m not trying to be a dick but your post doesn’t make a lot of sense. I’m not sure you have the right definition of “blast” and “cruise”.

A blast is a high dose cycle that you would run 2-4 months depending on the ester. A cruise is a lower dosed and longer ran cycle to keep the gains from your previous blast up until your next blast.

Front loading is usually not worth the trouble but you can try it. However, in my opinion it doesn’t make anything faster. I’m a bit disappointed that you have already used 1000mg test but we all make mistakes. Slow down, be patient, and lower your doses. Just my 2 cents.

Start with a reasonable dose and stick with it until the end. Ramping up doses isn’t going to do anything but waste your gear because as soon as you bump up your dose then you have to wait another few weeks before that starts showing results. Pick a dose and do it from beginning to end. I hope you don’t use a gram a week. Totally unnecessary.

Only being 4 months off actually isn't that long being off. Your body would instantly recognize you being on again so that makes front loading a waste, same with going up to 1G. Just do a regular dose maybe in the 600-800mg range and stick with it like JackSteel said and you should be good.

I think front loading is always a waste. I wanted to see what people would say.

Also, why can't you start with either a low or high dose? Why can't I get back on after 4 months? Show your logic leading up to your conclusion.

I always come off my cruises for a window to refresh receptors and asses baseline stats. Only when I feel it is necessary. I disagree with front loading. Although, I do see a lot of people that advocate for it. I say use a smaller ester at first. Just my 2 cents.

Actually, there's really nothing saying you can't start with low or high dose, and I'm not saying you can't get back on after 4 months. If that's how you want to run it, do it. As far as 4 months, I'm only saying your body may recognize a cycle faster than you think. I'd really be more concerned with the dose coming back on after the break.

My basis for what may be better is this: Consider the half-life of what you're shooting and how long it takes to build to peak. This obviously differs depending on what ester you choose. If you start with a low dose with regular test cyp or test enanthate, your half-life is approximately 7 days, can be 7-10 depending on how you react, but 7 is the norm. So lets take 200mg for example. In a week, it's halved and you take the next dose, and so on. It will take you far longer to get to peak levels that way, not to mention your peak will be smaller. Taking a high dose say 1G of test cyp/e right from the beginning is going to be overkill. You've hit the peak level from the beginning though it will still take a 2-3 weeks for your body to catch up (saturation), and taking huge doses doesn't speed up the process. Your body can only handle so much at once so you've wasted a whole lot of testosterone that probably won't be used. You're doing test only so there's only so much growth response you can get out of it. Sticking with a moderate dose stays more in line with how much your body can handle, the half-life, and how much time it takes to be at peak levels. I'd venture to say that there's a sweet spot, and it will differ for every person, but it's definitely in a mid-range dose.

I don’t understand the first question.

If I understand correctly, he's saying why not start with a low dose and then build up to a higher dose or why not start with a high dose on the order of 1G. I gave my reasoning as to what would be better than either scenario, but hey, you can still do either of them if you really want to.

I totally agree with what you are saying and I think your logic is super sound. I think I will take your advice and start mid and work to a peak.

Yes I could of worded the question better. Lol

Guys I have always tried to get the most I could out of low amounts. Why add more mg if your don't have too?
