    Default The Anabolic Window

While the, “Anabolic Window,” is certainly wider than initially thought, studies do show that this window is much smaller in trained individuals than untrained individuals. And this particular study found this effect after only 8-weeks of training! Therefore, highly-trained individuals may exhibit an even smaller window than shown here. However, performing novel exercises or different types of training may help extend this window, as this shorter window may be a result of adaptation to monotonous training.

Untrained meaning no training at all? I wouldn’t think someone who didn’t train would have much of an anabolic window at all.

I think they are referring to someone that had never trained before and is starting.
