Post injection pain

This is really for a bro of mine although I get it sometimes too, he gets these large painful balls above his injection site, he said he doesnt get them everytime, I would think if it was dirty gear it would be every time. Its there for at least 5 days and at times its red. Hes almost resigned to seeing a Dr about it but is concerned his Dr could inform his insurance co about it

Any ideas? I know this has to have happened many times to MC members, I just tough mine out but this dudes freaking out...

"It could be one of numerous things.

1. The neefle not going deep enough.
2. The muscle is pushing back on the needle itself causing some irritation at the injection site.
3. Tainted gear (wouldn't rule that out just yet).
4. Possible needle not being thoroughly sterilized. It does happen during manufacturing and unfortunately it can't be avoided.

As long as you're not getting and infection, you should be good to go. I suggest a warm cloth to soothe the pain and help the oils disperse better in the muscle.
As for the insurance, I would go to a clinic or those neighborhood ERs and see if they can help reduce it without charging your insurance or notifying your doctor"

What's he taking? I know prop is notorious for leaving knots.

I beleive it was sust, not prop and yes I know prop can sting pretty good and leave baseballs.

he went to ER, told Dr he was injecting B vitamins, the Dr didnt care but lanced the area and sucked out 120 ml of nasty puss. But him on antibiotics and sent him home.

120ml.... holy fuck!!

Puss? That would be an infection my friend. Was this a homebrew?

I'm not sure what it was, I know when he came over the day before he went to DR, you could see the ball sized growth thru his pants, I think hes going back in a few days for further excision this time from a surgeon, before it was ER doctor who didnt feel qualified to go in there too much

The gear may or not have been dirty. I know when I inject in my glutes, I swab a very wide area, like almost my entire cheek, hip and even a bit above.

Sounds like the brewer injected himself with 10cc's but the entire shot squirted back out onto the dirty floor so he mopped it up with a dirty mop, rang it out then put it back into the bottle and sent it to your buddy with a little kids smiley face sticker in place of the top cap over the septum.

That's some bad stuff there my friends.

Hopefully they won't have to cut a slab of meat out and let the tissue grow from inside out like they did me
