Andrew Chinedu: ‘Call me Mr. JACKED!’

Andrew Jacked is a perfect example of a social media star who also has the goods to make it among the very best on a pro bodybuilding stage.

In the days before social media, there were doubtless many excellent physiques around the world who we never knew about simply because they chose not to step on a contest stage. Now, those hidden gems are revealed every day via platforms like Instagram and YouTube. One such case is Andrew Chinedu, better known by his IG name, “Andrew Jacked.” Born in Nigeria, he was working in Dubai as an engineer and training for fun when social media superstars Larry Wheels and Blessing Awodibu both took notice of the towering 290-pounder with legit 23-inch arms, and featured him in their own videos. Word got to the legendary Flex Wheeler, who contacted Andrew and offered to take him under his wing. With his mentorship and nutritional guidance from George Farah, Jacked set his sights on the 2022 Arnold Amateur competition in Columbus, Ohio. There, at 6-foot-2 and 276 pounds of round, full muscle accentuated by a wasp-like 32-inch waist, he dominated the Super Heavyweight class en route to the Overall title, an IFBB Pro League card, and a guaranteed spot in the 2023 Arnold Classic. A perfect example of a social media star who also has the goods to make it among the very best on a pro bodybuilding stage, you can read his story, “Call Me Mr. Jacked!”

Did you pack on a few extra pounds this past winter? No one plans on losing all those badass cuts and veins they were showing off last summer, but we are all human beings. We are genetically wired to crave fat and sugar, and to eat more of it when it’s cold and dark. Many of us also have the temptation to overindulge in the wrong foods and drink too much in that roughly six-week span from Thanksgiving to New Year’s Eve. Don’t beat yourself up if this sounds like you – do something about it. Summer is coming up, and there is no time to lose. You can peel off that body fat and look shredded by the Fourth of July if you commit to starting right now and follow Ron Harris’ plan in “8Weeks to Summer Shreds.”

Blessing Awodibu was famous long before most bodybuilding fans ever heard of him, thanks to a series of hilarious videos he posted on YouTube that went viral with millions of views. When he prepped for his pro debut last spring, many fans took umbrage to him calling out Nick Walker, who he would face at the New York Pro. Nick was a hardcore freak who was all business, while Blessing seemed to be a prankster talking crap. When “The Boogieman” debuted at the Indy Pro and the following week at the New York Pro, he didn’t meet expectations and was roasted online and in social media. Yet Blessing has great potential and since then, he has been on a mission for redemption. Now working with renowned coach George Farah, he is returning to the same two stages as last year, but working toward a very different outcome – victory, as this Redcon1 athlete tells MD in“Count Your Blessings! Blessing Awodibu Is Out for Redemption.”

What man doesn’t want to have huge arms? First you have to maximally develop your triceps. They make up a full 66.6 percent of your upper arms, and when fully developed they are quite impressive. When you see a guy with massive guns popping out of his short sleeves, it’s the triceps that give that round, full look to the arms. Think of some of the best triceps bodybuilding has ever seen, and you are really talking about the best arms overall: Phil Heath, Roelly Winklaar, Lee Priest and Kevin Levrone all come to mind. Watch your triceps grow thicker, fuller and rounder in eight weeks when you follow the complete triceps-building program in “The Key to Ultimate Triceps:How to Build Ham Hock Horseshoes.”

Milos Sarcev is a legendary coach not only for his unique training methods but also for his knowledge in the arena of bodybuilding nutrition. Since it’s an area rife with confusion and conflicting advice, MD’s Ron Harris sat down with the man they call “The Mind” to pick his considerable brain about subjects such as meal frequency, protein requirements, and especially the area he pioneered for all of us decades ago: intra-workout nutrition. Milos has partnered with JYM Supplement Science and is currently formulating an intra-workout formula for them.Read more in “Bodybuilding Nutrition 101: Class Is in Session With Professor Milos ‘The Mind’ Sarcev!”
