havin trouble deciding which bike to buy

I'm having extreme trouble searching for a new motorcycle. I don't really want a new one cuz that's too expensive and taxes and insurance are way too high. I don't want it to be too old either.

I use my bike for various reasons. I use it to go out and race like hell for an hour, I use it to go to work and I use it to make really long cruises to the sea on sunny days. So it has to provide a good combination of performance and comfort. It has to be able to race fast, but it should also be able to just cruise at normal speeds. I'm also a bit of a stoplight player. I really like to get everything out of my bike everytime the light becomes green.

I don't want a 600 anymore. Its not performant enough and it doesn't provide enough torque in the low rpm's.

I don't really want an R1 or an gsx1000r cuz they are a bit too extreme and they don't provide enough comfort for long rides. I was thinking about a Blade, but I don't really know if they are all that comfy and I can't decide on which year is best.

Some have suggested a VFR but it's only an 800 and I think it won't race fast enough. It's also with a VTEC which doesn't provide good performance in low rpm's.

I guess high speed trains such as a Hayabusa or a Blackbird might fit the bill, but they are a bit expensive.

I really don't know anymore. Ask ten different people and you get 10 different answers.

first bike.. start small and work your way up.. i started on a 80 GT when i was 6 years old and have owned and rode everything from that you a VMAX.. now there's a good example of why to start out with a small bike.. at one time 3 out of 5 owners died on the VMAX.. i know it's not as cool to drive a 600.. but people need to learn to ride not drive a bike... IMHO

Well for long distance I didn't find the CBR900RR from 92-99 very comfrotable. My friend never complained about his GSXR750 96-99 ever giving him discomfort and my friend has a 2001 GSXR1000R and says its the best highway bike he has ever owned.
