What's the problem when you just cant seem to add any muscle mass. If you're eating like a mofo (cleanly), training like a mofo, and sleeping okay - what's the problem? Not doing much of any cardio. Have trouble putting on weight anyway. Is it a plateau while working out muscles? And all of this while on a bulking cycle of Test and EQ. Any imput is greatly appreciated.

How many day are you training a week?

Forgive me, I didn't post those because I'm asking for a friend. He's 5-10, 173 lbs 12% bf. He tries to get about 200 grams of protein, keeps carbs moderate (500) and maybe about 75-80 grams of fat. We train together 5 days a week, and our juice is real (QV).

We're running testanthate 250 and EQ 200. Weeks 1-10 2 cc's of the EQ and weeks 1-5 2 cc's test, weeks 5-10 2.25 cc's test. Our first 4 weeks we were taking 35 mgs dbol. We are starting our 8th week today.

I seem to continue with gains of strength and weight. He on the other hand, has plateaued in weight after the 5th week. His strength gains arn't as heafty as mine anymore either.

He is concidering changing his workout routine. We work out one area of the body each day (M-F). He wants to start to do upper body M,W,F and lower body T,TH - like we did in high school. I think what he wants to do would be good to maintain muscle - but while finishing a bulking cycle I don't like it one bit. I'll support his decision on what he wants to do and help wherever I can but I'll continue to do whats working for me.

Do you guys have any imput now? Thanks.

bro it also depends on what kind of carbs u eat. tell him to eat around 150g of good carbs with high GI value after a workout such as rice potatoes and dextrose.

More protein and carbs 300g's of protein and cause it's a bulker 7-800 carbs. Sometimes you peak mid way through and then all the sudden poof you pile weight on.

Good points guys. More carbs and more protein I agree. What do you think about the change in the workout routine?

It is always good to change a workout program when the gains stop.Your muscle get used to the same lift pretty fast just don't fall victim to a 10 rep program i see that alot

Ok, So I am the friend that JayWooly is speaking of. lol. I didn't know that he posted this until he told me about it.

Last year I lost a good amount of fat. Probably about 7 or 8 % bf. I was making good gains naturally throughout the course of the year and hit a plateu so I decided to try AS.

Well, I was making good gains at the beginning of the cycle with d-bol. I was slightly over 180 lbs which is decent for me. About 13 pounds up from my starting weight. Then had some personal problems and dropped most of that due to my diet mainly. Now my diet is just about back in line. I still need to get the protein and carbs up there. My main question is:

Do you guys think that hitting each muscle twice per week is over training? I'm trying to get back to basics with more combo exercises to hit my muscles a little more per week. It is somewhat of a alternating M-W-F, T-TH workout scheme.

M-W-F
Flat Bench 3x8 M, W
Incline Dumbell 3x8 M, W
Alternating Bicep Curl/Skull Crusher every other M, W, F
Alternating Rows/Shoulder Press M, W, F
Alternating Flys/Pull Downs M, W, F

T-TH
Squat 3x8-10 T
Leg Extension 3x10-12 T
Leg Curl 3x10 T
Dead Lift 3x8 TH
Calf Raise 3x15 TH
ABS Crunches/Machine T, TH

My legs are my strong point, and I don't need to train them too much. My upper body is deffinitely lacking and I feel as though I need to switch something up to make some gains. What do you guys think?
