what do u guys think??should they allow women in the club???i personally believe they should not .....i mean... this whole title 9 bullshit is gettin ridiculous ....i mean there r only 300 members in all of the world. dont get me wrong, i am all for women and all that they do but this is one thing that i dont think they have any place in . r there men allowed in the YWCA???no.... r there men allowed in "curves for women" ????
i recently watched a show on espn about title 9 saying that they r stopping mens programs to start new womens programs!!!if this is not reverse discrimination i dont know what is!! to eliminate a program just so a womens program can open up is obserd. u guys and girls let me know what u think about this whole topic.
 
Reverse Descrimination is a very common occurance in our society. This is always a "hot topic" in debate. If you look at the scholarship programs offered for just being in a minority group, it is rediculous. I know there are scholarships offered to the majority, but "why segregate groups if society preaches to unsegregate."

I don't know how I feel on the topic, but I do know one thing, to let someone who is less qualified and has less credentials into college or give them a job soley based on ethnicity is wrong.

Equal rights??? What are you thoughts?

thats bull shit let im open there own damn club ! this reminds me of the time our local high school decided to open a girls basketball program. all the woman stood up for it . and it passed. then the hole town figured out it was going to take money away from the boys football and basketball programs . then they shut the girls down. point being things work out good the way they are then all the sudden females come in the picture and shit starts geting all fucked up . (just my personal opinion this dose not reflect the collective opinions of the board)he he he
 
Ooh. This is a very heated topic. I'm all for equal rights but when it cuts into what's right just to be politically correct, that's where I draw the line. About the girls wanting to be men, sure, if your as good as a man. In high school PE the guys had to run a mile in 7:30 to pass with an A, the girls had to run it in 10:30. They're the one's always spouting off about equal rights, why not equal obstacles? I'm dying to hear a women's point of view.
 
Give'em equality-not selective "women do 10 push-ups and men do 50 " bull-crap like in the military-put'em on the front lines-put'em in the action-they want equality-fine-let 'em try out for football-shit make every sport co-ed-thats equality-they want all the advantages but not the competition-it all goes back to Clinton and his rug-munching socialist wife-together they managed to destroy college athletics
 
You cannot tell a privately owned entity whether they can discriminate between male and female,it is just simply unconstitutional unless they recieve public funds...which of course they do not.
These stupid bed wetting femanazis with there psuedo "pro-choice" attitude (which they are most definitely not pro-choice),have got nothing better to do with there time and there tax payer supported groups.They are just wasting MINE and YOUR money.
 
Hootie has already dropped their sponsers, Coke and I can't remember the other, so they will not catch any backlash. I don't think they are going to give in. And I think they are right, Augusta is all about tradition, if there tradition is no women members then get over it.

Another thing they would have to add new women's tees to the course, if any of you have ever been there, you know how obessive they are about the course, and how it looks, not just condition, but class, no cart paths, electirc signs, etc. They would think extra tee boxes would just look "tacky"
 
They shouldnt do it. Its a private club, you can open anything and as long as you dont take goverment money, they can not tell you what to do. I hate how everything has to be equal, i bet there is some womens club, that we cant join. But do you see us bitching about it, No.

What the hell is happening to our society!!! People are always sueing each other at the drop of a hat for stupid shit, and people are always complaining about prejudice.... and equal rights, what a crock of shit that is... there is no such thing!! This will never go away because people won't let it go away. Until everyone can stop blaming other people for what they do or get themselves into, until people stop sueing for stupid shit..... there is too much to list but I think you guys get the point.

Augusta National, please!!! If women want a private golf club of their, let them build it! They have no right to start this crap. A private club is a private club. We desparately need some judges with balls, someone who would say " Get the fuck out of my courtroom with this bullshit before I charge you with contempt!"

I don't think they should open that up to women and I am a woman. like some else said, men aren't allowed in women's gyms and there are probably alot of other organizations like that, so I don't see what the big deal is. How many other golf courses are around that the women can use? Probably quite a few. I think it was just a way for some pretty pathetic women to get there names in the news.
 
now this lady wants the PGA to not use the course for the Masters !!!viper...i am not sayin that we r not equal...all i am saying is that it is bullshit that in todays society someone has to pipe up about correctness and has to pull there weight around to get something done...cuz when it all comes down 2 it....its all about money..whoever has money has power... so u r tellin me that I, myself, a man...should b allowed in a Womens health club??every womans return would b..."u can go to any other health club, there is no need to come here...it is womens only" well...case in point.....there r hundreds of thousands of other golf courses that woman can play...hell this woman probably plays better then half the men....but that is besides the point. politics and american society are all fucked up....
 
Legaly they can;t make them and they shouldn't, but presser should be put on golfers who participate in such events, tiger Woods a BLACK GOLFER but won't stand up for equal rights, talk about a Uncle Tom, just call it like I see it.
 
tiger woods isnt even a member...he is an "honorary" member....so obviously they just dont let anyone in!!!as far as the government and what not...thats not the case....the big problem here is that all the pressure that this woman is putting on this club may break them down.....just think that if she gets the PGA to drop Augusta as the site for the Masters cuz of her...think of the revenue that the club loses!! it all comes down to money and knowing someone that knows someone else....BULLSHIT I SAY!!
 
its as simple as....."this is my tree house, in my backyard, i dont want u 2 play with my friends, so get the hell out"!! we grew up like that as kids and it is the same thing right here.

i agree when i played hockey i think i was 14 the league decided to let girls try out for the guys team well only a handfull made it.

We were playing one of the teams with a chick on it. well to make a long story short she got the puck behind are net and was skating along the board i was coming in at a 90 degree angle to her and hit her into the boards and heard a loud snap and she went down (snapped her collar bone) I took heat for the hit from the league and uit was a clean hit they said i should of eased off cause it was a girl. I said BULLSHIT i ain't changing the way i play cause some girl has the puck too bad if she can't take a hit go play ringette with all the other chicks.

woman have no business competing in leagues with men be it hockey football or whatever.
