Do you get nose bleeds during cycle?? I ask because I seem to get nosebleeds only while on. It seems like the last 4 nosebleeds I have recieved training have only come during a cycle. My first thought was blood pressure, but I have been monitoring it and it seems only slightly raised. I know it is an accurate read because my girl is a nurse. Any input on why a cycle may increase the possibility of nosebleeds, it's a real pain in the ass.

I used to get them when I lifted hard in my teens. As soon as I would increase my iron intake they would stop. Don't know if this helps, but it's a thought. If I remember you need iron to make muscle and when you are making alot you need alot, but I don't know it's been a LONG time.

Blood pressure can lead to it(high BP). Are you able to check your BP periodically? Like a grocery store?

Thanks Gander I will up my Iron and hopefully it will help. I will try anything at this point.
Rado, my girl is a nurse so I get it checked regularly.

I get them when I take orals. When I drink or get really pissed it starts bleeding also. I think it might also be a sinus infection problem but not sure.

Let me know how that iron works. I might have to get on it to for my d-bol I will be starting soon. Try ZMA, that's supposed be a good supplement for Iron.

I get them when I am "ON".
I think its a combo of BP and more Blood.
They never come at a good time....

Increased intravasular volume and pressure on AAS. There is impairment in clotting factors as well that may add into it.
Iron,IMO,has nothing to do with it. Your body has plenty of iron stores for building new muscle and blood. The only reason to supplement it would be if you are experiencing a LOT of blood loss(like a chick with heavy menstration) but not as a preventative way of stopping nose bleeds. That's why iron products are geared mostly towards women.Iron supplementation in men has been linked to an increased incidence of colon cancer.

OK I'll pass on the Iron. It is such a pain in my ass I was thinking of sticking a fireplace poker up there and do a little self quaterization. Maybe I'll just ask my MD to do it.

Try some afrin nasal spray. It constricts blood vessels and sometimes that's enough to get it to stop, cocaine works even better at stopping nose bleeds.

hehe...I was getting some bad nose bleeds for awhile and the doc accused me quite harshly of doing cocaine. What a dick!

But he did give me some afrin to constrict the blood vessles in my nose. It worked, you should try it.

The coke will work until it starts to degrade the mucosal lining in your nostril, then it'll acutally worsen the nose bleeds.

I know you were just kidding, I was just being a smartass

If youve already ruled out hypertension (which usually causes prolonged bleeding and not a tendency to bleed), then your biggest culprits are thinned blood or dry air.
If youre on ECA or anything with asprin, thats the most likely candidate for the bleeding. Also, most AS (injectables too but mostly orals) impare hepatic function where nd most of the clotting factors are made.
As far as the dry air, in the winter time the heat is going and its usally dry air. The dry air is really rough on the nose and frequently causes nose bleeds. Get a humidifier for your bed room if thats the case.

I busted a blood vessel in my nose when i was a kid. Had to get it quarterized but it still goes off all the time. My doctor tells me the best supplement to aid in clotting any wound not only the nose is potassium. He explained y but i cant remember all the medical jargon he threw at me!!!!

Thanks guy's. I made an appointment with a Eyes, Nose & Throat Dr. see if I can get him to Quaterize it. I got 2 nose bleeds in 3 day's of training last week. It sucks, noone wants to train with someone bleeding on them. Plus once the word is out everyone is headhunting four your nose. Again thanks for the advice I'll hook the vaporizer tonight.
