how much protien?

Ok, I went through the calculations for determining my protein requirement while on. It was about 300g/day.
Now that Im off, how much should I cut back by? All the health classes/books say 1g-1.5g per kg of body weight (about 100-150g per day)
 
I'm a protein junkie. While off I say no less than 2g per pound. When on anything in the 500-600g range whould do it. When it comes to protein intake if I'm going to make an error, I'm going to error on the high side!
 
anything under 1g/per pound and your body eats muscle for protein I try to go 2.5 it will help you keep gains you will know if your body can't process it .....better to be shitting it out than not getting enough...........
 
If you are still in the weight room and are trying to gain while off i would stay around 2g per pound of body weight.Never consume more than 50g in a single serving.Don't forget to count your food intake.But if you going to slow down and try to cut back i would take 1g
 
i c no reason in dropping the amount that u r doing while off compared to on.....when i come off i am not trying to "maintain" what i gained but i am still tryin to grow regardless....my training if anything might get harder and more intense.
 
I hear you prez, I do my best to maintain it. But I was flipping through my old phys manual and saw the recommendations for protien intake. They were assuming you were an active male, weight training and doing some sports. Still they recommended 1-1.5g per kg (not even lb). Ill stick to fatcats guidelines. Better to shit it out then to come up short
 
lets stop blow protein out our ass .......prez we all have to maintain till ....natural test levels off .........

fact :the body will not synthise as much protein when off cycle
