Anybody ever work with an endo doctor. Not having him prescribe you the stuff, but monthy visits for monitoring the blood, watching cortisol level and free test levels and all that
You would think so, but to be honest, I don't. I think I hesitate because I figure they'll just try to lecture me not to do it, and not run the tests for me nor advise me in a rational manner.
It would be a smart thing to do though.
My wife wants me to go to an endo instead of my normal doc for my low test problem, but I'm not terribly interested in that. My doc will do all of those tests, though - they have a lab technician in house even.
Unless there is a problem you shouldn't have to go to an endocrininologist. I get checked out once a year. Find a general practiioner and have him give you a blood screening most of what you need will be revealed in that. If there is a problem then escalate it. You can pick any gp, so maybe have one guy for everything except blood screening.
Just worked with an endo for about 3 months. Pretty helpful guy. You can tell them your experiencing some swelling and or pain in your breast area. they will immeadiately starte doing very explicit Testosterone, prolactin,gh tests among others.........456

generally, an endo being a specialist, you have to be referred by a general practitioner before they will see you and you sometimes need pre approval before insurance will get involved.
