Good stuff bro, if you lived closer we could ride! Atleast you got a honda although that is a v, I dont like honda's V but raise hell on it man and becareful!

what are you getting a cbr? I had a gsxr 600 last season, bikes are good investments considering you can sell em for the same price at the end of the season.

This is a Honda VFR800 with V4 VTEC engine.

I saw aone around town and they look awesome. Of course I had to test it against my(since sold) CBR600 and got spanked. not bad, about 2 bike links.

Yeah I just sold my CBR600. The VFR performance isn't indeed that greater, but I bought it because it has a lot more comfort, (especially for passengers), you can mount cases if you want too, it has a bigger fuel tank, it has more power at lower rpm's, it has far better windprotection, it has smoother gears, it has a dual combined braking system, and so on... IMHO this makes this bike the greatest sports-tourer around, offering an optimal comprise between a racebike and a tourer, whcih was exactly what I was looking for. Haven't driven it yet, but surely hope it meets my needs and wishes ;)

The new VFRs have had electrical problems - alternator was insufficient. It's a no-cost fix by Honda, make sure you get it done if it hasn't been done already.

I had a yellow 00 VFR, it was great, it was comfortable AND it railed... while my friends were extracting themselves from their sportier racks after a long day of riding, I wanted to keep riding! It was a pig though, pretty heavy, really had to muscle it around in the corners compared to the lighter bikes. I'm disappointed that they didn't lighten it up much with the new model.

Since then, my tastes have moved more toward the big-bore suzuki and yamaha... hondas just seem boring after a while, can't really explain why... though others would call it "reliability" :)

Nice bike brother... I'm working on getting a GSXR 1000 Trying to balance out my toys and gear. I just baught a sled this year... starting to race it. Arctic cat ZRT 800 I have a breather on it and 50/60 helix for hard packed dragging, d&d pipes w/ silencers, 196 carbide picks.... it had some porting done, not sure what... need to get it dyno'd. I was told it is pushing near 200 hp.... let me tell you... It fly's, just about pulls you right off the sled! does about 130mph 1/4 mile. There is a clown here that has a thounder cat custom built 1400cc pushing 147mph 1/4 mile.... No way of touching that!
