i started my keto diet today and i got some keto stix. i think i can be in ketogenic mode by the nite. i am taking 1000g ala with every meal. but how do i know that whats a good amount of ketones. cuz on the keto stix there is different levels. here are the levels. trace(5) small(15) moderate(40) large(80-160)
whats the level which i should be in. i did a test in the afternoon and i already have small amounts of ketones (think becuze of the ala)

so can some one reflect some light on this matter.

I started a CKD diet about 2.5 wks ago. I was told as long as there is some trace of ketones you have reached ketosis. I will finally get a deep red color by day 6, but there has been a lot of arguments that having a lower level of ketosis is better for burning fat, I not sure.
Its tuff no carbs drains me! But the 7th day carb up is like heaven, along with really helping restore glycogin(sp) stores.

can some one reflect some more light on what level of ketosis is better.

by the way how much fat have u lost in 2.5 weeks and how does your meal plan look.

Well Im not sure how much fat I'v lost, I do look leaner but I have not lost any weight.(on winny,EQ,Prop,Dbol)
My meal plan changes a lot but the basic idea is just keep the fats(good fats) high along with protien and the carbs under 20g per day. I have a spread sheet that figures out your day to day fat and protein intake for the week relative to your weight. But its for a CKD with 7th day carb up, Im not sure if your doing this. But if your interested I could email it to you.

I'll keep updated on my progress and you do the same.
