profina, need little help

I tried making profina last night at a ratio of 100mg/75 mg prop to fina. I've made fina by itself 3 times before and I used the same exact procedure every time. When I made the profina last night, It was severly dark. A very dark brown color. I'm used to my fina being a clear light yellow color. What made this batch turn so brown. I don't even want to use it now. I might just make up a batch of fina by iself. I'm pissed because I just waisted 30 ml's of prop. dammit.

I put it through the coffee filter for the past day and a half. I knew it would take longer because the prop is thicker then sesame oil. However, the solution is still very dark brown. I have no idea why. I didn't filter sterilize it yet because I know that won't lighten up the color and because I don't want to waste the filter. I'll probably use it to make just plain fina. Does anyone have any suggestions for the profina that I've already made?

Your fine.. I've had fina from neon yelow to a dark dark amber... Just hold it up to the light It should have a reddish hue to it..

Many have speculated for the reasons of the different colors..
Heat oxidation to name a few..
But all was good

that is great to hear. thanks Bass. So you think if I proceed with filter sterlizing it and baking it in the oven like I've always done with fina, it would be ok to inject. Mine is dark, dark amber and does have a reddish tint to it when held against the light.

Thanks for posting this gymrat.I am going for the profina to and would hate to think of that much prop going for nothing.

that was what I was so scared of. I don't care about the cartridge of fina because that's cheap but three bottles of Prop would hurt to lose.
