ive been on a high calorie diet for about hte last 3 weeks and heres how it looks tell me what you all think? i eat 4 whole meals and i am taking a weight gainer shake wwiht about 1190 calories in it and 74 grams of protein i take it aftermy workout and before i go to bed. i work out 4 times a week
sunday-chest-dips and flat bench
monday-biceps, back- curls, concentration curls, and bent over rows, pullovers
tuesday-rest
wed.- legs- squat and deadlift
thursday-shoulders and tricep- military press, and tricep extensions
friday-rest
saturday-rest
ive never really worked out abs ive alwyas just had them but now with this routin there dissapearing a little...how many times a week should i work them out? a friend of mine told me hat i should do about 10-20 min of cardio a week is this right? i thought ectomorphs werent suposed to do that? ive gained about 15 lbs. in the last 3 wks with my routine like this. what can i add or what should i fix?

i would think about switching Tuesday w/ Monday...it looks like you go pretty hard on Monday, and if your like most people you tear up your chest on Sunday. Resting Monday will help your muscles from not being overworked, so they will GROW!!!

yea i like to concentrate on chest cuz genetically my chest kinda sucks....but on the abs thing should i do them once aweek or more often than taht?

LS on your abs it depends on what shape there in now.But lets say you want great abs i would say 3 times a wk.But you know that to have great abs your diet plays as much roll as your workout.Good Luck Bro

anbody else got any opinions on anythign i could fix or add? i was also wondering if adding creatine would be a good idea...or what it just be a waste of money?

Your abs are going away because you are taking in over 1,000 calories at one time, probably containing quite a bit of carbs...I'll guess 60g or so consisting of at least 50% sugars. That 70g of protein is getting wasted in one meal IMO. You can cut back on the portion size of that shake to about 3/4 or even less. The training looks ok to me. I'd keep it fresh though about every 8 weeks. You might look at yourself and pick a single week point for every 8 weeks and hit that area 2x per week instead of once.

id say more for back, it's the key to your whole physique. i learnt my lesson couresy of a shoulder injury.

I wouldn't do deadlifts and squats on the same day, unless it's stiff legged deads you're doing. Regular deadlifts IMO are the best exercise out there for building lats, traps, glutes and hamstrings. If you're not accustomed to doing deads, put them last in your back workout so you can make sure your back is freakin' fried. As your experience grows, put them first so you can go the heaviest and benefit most from all the weight you're lifting. Here's my training split.....
Sun - Back - deadlifts, t-bar rows, close grip pulldowns, hammer strength rows, one arm dumbell rows
Mon - Chest - Flat bench, incline dumbells, incline hammer strength, pec deck, cable crossovers
Tues - Arms - I switch from bi to tri each new exercise. Biceps - Standing straight bar curls, Preacher curls, Standing bicep or hammer curls, and sometimes high cable curls on the cable crossover machine. Triceps - Close grip bench, either seated dumbell extension or lying straight bar skullcrushers, tricep pressdowns. Sometimes we'll do this machine that has two handles that you grip with palms facing each other and your elbows rest on a preacher bench type pad, but unless I hang a 45 off of the weight stack, it's not enough weight unless I'm really fatigued from the other exercises
Wed - OFF - Eat like a mutha
Thurs - Legs - Front Squats (did these for the first time yesterday and I couldn't hardly walk last night), Hack squats, Standing leg curl, Leg Extension, One final set of squats with 225 until I can't stand anymore, vomit in the lockerroom
Fri - OFF - Eat like it's going out of style
Sat - Shoulders - Seated military press, seated dumbell press, rear delt on the pec deck, upright rows, either Arnold Press or lateral raises on the cable crossover machine.....

that's my week, usually has me hobbling around like an old man for at least 3 days out of 7....good luck with your training
